A former WWE and TNA star is currently going through serious legal issues that could possibly lead to prison time. The latest legal updates from the court-room have just been revealed for an update on the violent arrest.

Kimber Lee has been wrestling since October 2011. She began with CZW, WSU, Shine, and Shimmer, among others, then joined WWE in December 2016. Lee worked with WWE NXT and the Mae Young Classic, as Abbey Laith, but was released in March 2018. The former Shimmer Champion then worked for Stardom and TNA until announcing her retirement on May 6, 2023.

Days after announcing retirement, Lee was arrested on May 11, 2023. She was charged with DUI, Resisting an Officer with Violence, and Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer. Police were called after Lee was seen driving on the wrong side of the highway. The incident report noted that Officer PJ Roberts quickly suspected Lee of being under the influence. The grappler accused Officer PJ Roberts of harassing her. As the officer tried to obtain Lee's identification, she argued that she needed to leave and get her laundry from a nearby laundromat.

Lee then attacked the officer when he tried to place her under arrest - striking him in the chest, kicking him in the face, busting his lip and gums, and biting his arm hard enough to draw blood twice. It took two officers to restrain the former CHIKARA Grand Champion, who had a BAC (Blood Alcohol Content) of .140, nearly double the legal limit in Florida. Officer Roberts had to go to the hospital for his injuries. Lee's latest court date was scheduled for this morning.

The Seattle-born grappler had a pre-trial hearing previously scheduled in November 2023. She has plead not guilty, while also waiving her right to a speedy trial, and receiving a public defender due to financial issues preventing her from hiring an attorney. PWInsider reports that the pre-trial hearing scheduled for this week was continued for unknown reasons.

The 33-year-old retired grappler, who previously took a shot at AEW, is now scheduled to be back in court on Wednesday, May 22. Lee is appearing in front of Judge Angela Cowden of Highlands County, Florida.

If convicted of her first-time misdemeanor DUI offense, Lee is facing up to 6 months in jail, the possible revocation of a driver's license, 50 hours of community service, and up to $1,000 in fines. If convicted of Resisting an Officer with Violence, a third degree felony, Lee is facing up to 5 years in prison or 5 years of probation, and a $5,000 fine. Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer is another third degree felony, and if convicted, Lee is facing up to 5 years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

WWE Hall of Famer sentenced to years in prison

Tammy "Sunny" Sytch was once at the top of WWE as the Original Diva, and was named the most downloaded celebrity in AOL history for that period.

Sunny experienced many legal troubles late in life, and was recently sentenced to 17.5 years in prison after being convicted of felony DUI Manslaughter, felony Causing Death while Driving with Suspended License, two counts of misdemeanor DUI with Damage to Property, and four counts of misdemeanor DUI with Damage to Person.

The 51-year-old WWE Hall of Famer has appealed the conviction, but it's likely she will not leave the Florida prison system until she is at least 67-years-old. Sunny will have to serve 8 years of probation once she is released. Former WWE Attitude Era head writer Vince Russo recently discussed the downfall of the two-time WWE Slammy Award winner on Sportskeeda's Wrestling Outlaws podcast.

"I gotta tell you. Sunny got into professional wrestling at a very young age. And when you are that young, and you are on the road and you have money, and you are really still a kid, that's just a recipe for disaster, man. And she did get in young bro, she got in like 21-22 years old, and like I said man, out on the road, money, partying, drinking, drugs, a lot of stuff that goes with professional wrestling. Bro, some people can handle it, some people can't," Vince Russo said. [From 5:26 onwards]

Sunny also has other pending legal issues outside of Florida, and multiple civil lawsuits related to the fatal 2022 crash that took the life of 75-year-old Julian Lasseter in Volusia County, FL.
