Rhyno and Jimmy Uso kick off things in the second title match of the night. Rhyno and Slater double team to gain the early advantage on the Samoan Twins.

Jimmy fights back and tags in his brother, who enters and screams “I got kids too” in what was anything but a thinly veiled dig on the former Hottest Free Agent.

Jey nails the corner splash before tagging his brother in, whose attempts to nail the Back Bodydrop is countered by Slater as he tags in The Manbeast. Rhyno is unstoppable and hits the Bell-to-Belly and prepares for the Gore but is stopped by Jey in his tracks and Jimmy takes advantage of the situation by hitting a dropkick.

#5 WWE Intercontinental Championship: The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

This was probably the most important match in Dolph Ziggler’s entire WWE career and ironically his career was also on the line. The Career vs. Title match kicked off with The Showoff receiving a huge pop from the crowd – for one last time?

The match kicked off at a frantic pace with Ziggler making his intentions clear as he tried to nail the Superkick first up. However, Miz moved out of the way and followed it with a clothesline tossing the Showoff out of the ring. But Ziggler rushed back into the ring and took him out with a clothesline of his own, throwing him out of the ring which resulted in an awkward landing for the champion.

Chants of “Let’s go Ziggler” and “Let’s go Miz” ring around the arena. Miz then mocks Daniel Bryan’s Yes chant before driving Ziggler’s knees into the mat. After some back and forth, The Miz nails the Hangman’s Neckbreaker.

The Miz then followed it with multiple dropkicks into the corner – a la Daniel Bryan – which sends the crowd into a frenzy. However, The Showoff responds with a dropkick of his own before unleashing it on the champion.

Ziggler then reverses The Miz’s attempts for a Powerbomb into a Sunset Flip before pinning the champion for a nearfall. The Miz then rolls up the challenger and tries to use the ropes to help with the pin only for the referee to notice it. He then nails a DDT but surprisingly Dolph kicks out once again.

After some more to and fro, Ziggler and The Miz are on the top rope and the Show Off goes for a Superplex but is reversed into a Sunset Flip from Miz, however, Ziggler counters it with a Sunset Flip of his own and converted it into a pinning combination.

Following the nearfall, The Miz locks Ziggler in the Figure 4 but he is able to reach to the ropes. Maryse gets on the apron to distract the referee as The Miz removes the padding from the top turnbuckle but as soon as he turns he is met with a Rough Ryder. Ziggler tries to follow it up with another move but is instead thrown face first into the exposed turnbuckle. The Miz then nails a modified powerbomb for a 2-count.

The Miz again copies Daniel Bryan and launches a series of kicks to Ziggler but the Showoff nails the Zig Zag, literally out of nowhere but The Miz kicks out at 2 from the resulting pin.

The Champion then tries for the Skull Crushing Finale but is countered into a pin by Ziggler for a nearfall before locking Miz in the sleeper. However, Miz somehow manages to make it to the ropes. Maryse finally interferes and sprays in the face of Ziggler allowing her husband to nail the Skull Crushing Finale but Ziggler kicks out from the resulting pin. Ziggler is just not ready to give up.

Ziggler gets back up and hits a Superkick on Miz but Maryse calls The Spirit Squad to aid her husband. However, Ziggler welcomes his former stablemate Mikey with a Superkick but this allows Miz to hit the Skull Crushing Finale on him. Ziggler kicks out from the resulting pin sending the crowd into a frenzy and chants of "This is Awesome" ring around the arena.

The referee then ejects Maryse and the Spirit Squad and Ziggler takes advantage of the situation by nailing a Superkick. He then pins Miz for the 3-count!

Ziggler survives to retire another day. His resilience and defiance helped his cause and what a performance from the new Intercontinental Champion. This is also the 5th time Ziggler has wn the Intercontinental Championship.

Result: Dolph Ziggler saves his career and wins the Intercontinental Championship via a pinfall victory over The Miz

#7 Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt’s career has been in a turmoil for some time now. He has been losing matches left, right and center and a more apt gimmick for him could be – The Eater of Pins. However, against Randy Orton, The New Face of Fear competes in probably his biggest ever match to prevent his stock from further plummeting.

Orton goes for the RKO right from the word go but Wyatt successfully evades it and rolls out of the ring before yelling “I like that”. The mind games between the two in the buildup has been cringeworthy but hopefully, the match will live up to its expectations.

Wyatt smashes forearms into Orton and follows it up with a double chop to the throat. He whips Orton into the ropes who pulls Bray by the hair and drags him down onto the mat and goes to work on his limbs.

Wyatt then launches Orton into the announcer’s table before going for the steel stairs to deal some serious damage to The Viper. However, Orton tries to fight back but is sent crashing into the barricade by Bray.

As Orton makes his way into the ring he is welcomed by a Senton and a corner splash. After some more to and fro Wyatt nails the DDT on The Viper on the apron. Bray then body slams Orton and the crowd starts chanting – “Let’s go Randy”.

Bray then goes to the top rope looking to nail the Senton but misses as Orton moves out. The two then work on each other and Orton comes out of the corner with a Lariat before Irish Whipping Wyatt.

The New Face of Fear tries to nail Sister Abigail but The Viper counters it into a Powerslam. Orton then attempts to nail the RKO on multiple occasions but Wyatt counters with a modified Rock Bottom followed by a 2-count. Wyatt then takes the match ringside and sends The Viper crashing into the steel steps.

Wyatt then sizes up his opponent for the Senton but Orton evades and sends Wyatt face first into the announcer’s table before hitting the back body drop onto the barricade.

Back into the ring and Orton delivers the Draping DDT and lines up The Eater of Worlds for the RKO. However, the lights go out and Wyatt’s promo flashes. As the lights come back Luke Harper is seen standing in the middle of the ring facing Orton. Harper is back and here to help his friend.

The distraction proved enough for Wyatt, who nails Sister Abigail before pinning Orton for the 3-count. Finally, Bray Wyatt wins a match.

Result: Bray Wyatt defeats Randy Orton via pinfall

#8 WWE World Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. Dean Ambrose vs. John Cena

The main event kicked off a WWE PPV for the first time in the company’s history. Cena is first to make his way to the ring and was welcomed by a mixed reaction as always. The Leader of Cenation is chasing history looking to become the first man to equal Ric Flair’s legendary record of 16 World Titles.

Dean Ambrose followed Cena before the reigning Champion AJ Styles entered to a raucous applause.

The three men kick things off in the middle as Ambrose slapped Cena with the latter trying to respond by hitting the Attitude Adjustment but Styles interferes and punches Cena. Ambrose then nails a dropkick to send The Phenomenal One out of the ring.

The Lunatic Fringe then drives Styles and Cena into the barrier before smashing the reigning champion into the announcer’s table.

Ambrose then tries to land a running elbow on The Cenation Leader but Cena counters by catching him and driving him into the steel ring post. The Phenomenal Forearm is next and Cena is on the receiving end of it.

Cena responds to the Phenomenal Forearm by nailing a German Suplex on both Styles and Ambrose – in what can be termed as a display of his brute strength. His attempts to follow it with an AA is foiled by Styles, who counters with a Pele Kick.

The reigning Champion then hits a Springboard reverse DDT on Ambrose before sending him out of the ring. However, Cena gets the better of The Phenomenal One by using his brute strength and tries to hit the AA from the top rope but Styles reverses it into a modified neckbreaker.

Cena and Styles then lock each other into Sleeper Holds one after the other. After some more back and forth, Cena tries to go for the Five Knuckle Shuffle on Ambrose but Styles interferes and nails a German Suplex instead.

Ambrose then hits a modified Falcon Arrow on the champion. Styles then hits a Huracarrana on The Lunatic Fringe but he counters it for a near fall. Cena takes advantage of the situation and hits a Five Knuckle Shuffle on the duo.

He then nails the Attitude Adjustment on Style, but the champion rolls out of the ring to prevent the pin. Cena then hits the AA on Ambrose but the former champion kicks out at 2.

Cena locks Ambrose in the STF but Styles interferes. Cena tries to nail the AA on Styles on the apron but the champion counters and hits a Suplex. He follows it with a 450 splash on The Lunatic Fringe.

Styles finally nails the Styles Clash after countering Dirty Deeds and goes for the pin on Ambrose but Cena interferes and locks him in the STF. Ambrose stops Styles from tapping out and breaks up the submission maneuver.

Cena lifts both Styles and Ambrose for a double Attitude Adjustment but Styles manages to break free and fights back with an Enzeguiri.

After some back and forth, Cena nails the Sit-Out Powerbomb on Ambrose, who was busy fighting with Styles on the top rope. The Leader of Cenation follows it with a roll up for 2-count.

Styles then goes for the crossbody but Cena counters it into an AA, which is eventually countered again by the Calf Crusher.

Ambrose then locks Styles in the Knee Bar and Cena joins him and applies the STF on the champion. The two don’t care about the other and as expected Styles taps out. But wait, who won the Title? This is a hugely controversial moment.

As the duo made Styles count it didn’t matter and the match continues with Cena and Ambrose brawling in the middle of the ring. Cena takes Ambrose to the top rope and nails the Avalanche Attitude Adjustment. This is it! This is Cena’s moment. Can he create history?

But it was not to be as Cena’s attempts to cover Ambrose was foiled by the champion who enters the ring with the Steel Chair and hits Cena twice in the gut and on the back.

Styles then rolls Cena for the three-count.

Result: AJ Styles retains WWE World Championship by defeating John Cena via pinfall
