It was a unique week in the WWE as Super Smackdown was broadcasted live on Tuesday night from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ringside announcers JBL, Tom Phillips and Michael Cole commenced the 800th episode of Smackdown that saw the much-anticipated return of Roman Reigns to the ring after sitting out for three months due to injury.
Also, Intercontinental champion Dolph Ziggler shone bright on a night filled with action while Ryback was on the receiving end of an assault from Rusev. Here are the results from last night’s show.
Roman Reigns vs Fandango
Reigns returned to the squared circle and his first opponent came in the form of a new and an improved Fandango. However, the former Shield man displayed no signs of rust as he picked up from where he left and fought an impressive match against the dancing superstar who himself put a good fight. But Reigns’ determination to win on his comeback proved to be the deciding factor as he Superman Punched Fandango before hitting the Spear to earn a victory via pinfall.

Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt in war of words
Dean Ambrose addressed his TLC opponent Bray Wyatt as he made it clear that it is far from over between the two. Still enraged by his loss to Bray at the PPV last Sunday, Ambrose revealed about his match against The Eater of Worlds on Wednesday at Tribute to the Troops where they will be involved in a Boot Camp match.
Bray responded to his comments as he appeared on the Titantron and reminded his frantic foe that he is the battlefield and that he will not stop until it all burns down.
Erick Rowan and The Usos vs Luke Harper, The Miz and Mizdow
Erick Rowan teamed with Jimmy & Jey Uso to take on Luke Harper, The Miz & Damien Mizdow in a Six-Man Tag Team Match that featured some rather contrasting styles both in and outside the ring. The WWE Tag Team Champions and their bearded partner never seemed to be on the same page as The Awesome One took exception to the fact that his stunt double was mimicking Harper.
The contest eventually developed into a frenzy of action after Mizdow broke up Big Red Rowan’s pin attempt on The Miz. This prompted The Usos to deliver double superkicks to the titleholders and the grizzly Harper before diving onto the former Wyatt family member on the outside. This cleared the way for the 6-foot-8, 300-plus-pound Rowan to climb the top rope and hit a splash onto the fallen movie star for the victory.

Ryback vs Seth Rollins – Never happened
Ryback was scheduled to face Seth Rollins in a singles match, but that match never started in the first place thanks to sneak attack from Rusev. As Ryback entered and stood on the stage, the Super Athlete attacked The Big Guy delivering two lethal kicks before he could get to the ring for his match.
After witnessing Rusev's callous attack, Rollins proudly rejoiced about his forthcoming night off after orchestrating Brock Lesnar’s attacks on Chris Jericho and John Cena on Raw.
However, Dolph Ziggler interrupted The Architect before he could exit the ring, reminding Rollins that he was still contractually obligated to compete. The Showoff then challenged the former Shield member to a one-on-one match that Rollins happily accepted.
Naomi vs Nikki Bella
With Brie Bella at ringside Naomi with The Miz’s help who claimed to have set up the title match for her, fought Divas champion Nikki Bella in a championship match. Halfway through the match, The Miz came down to the ringside to cheer on for Naomi. Her husband Jimmy Uso, however, didn’t like the tag team champion’s gesture and he chased him out of the arena.
The distraction cost Naomi her match as Nikki capitalized by rolling her for the three-count.

Adam Rose vs Kane
Kane made quick work of Adam Rose, chokeslamming the leader of The Exotic Express for the victory. It looked like the former Director of Operations was satisfied with the quick win, but before leaving, turned back toward the ring to deliver a Tombstone Piledriver on the neck-brace-wearing Bunny.
Winner: Kane
Renee Young is backstage with Seth Rollins and The Stooges. He promises to cost John Cena at the Royal Rumble and not stop until Cena brings back The Authority. Until they come back, Rollins is going to make everyone’s life hell.
Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins
Dolph Ziggler’s amazing run just keeps going and going. The Showoff, who said earlier in the evening he would steal the show, did just that when he picked up his first victory in singles action against Seth Rollins.
In what is becoming a common occurrence, J&J Security involved themselves in the action, prompting the referee to toss the pair from ringside. Mr. Money in the Bank immediately objected the decision, but before he knew it, the Intercontinental Champion nailed him with the Zig Zag for the victory.
