#5 The Japanese Women Represent the Beauty of Joshi

Emi Sakura, Lulu Pencil, Riho, and Hikaru Shida brought fun, whimsey, and fantasy to the AEW All Out ring. Along with Kojima showing up and representing the style of Puroresu, the Women of Japan gave us a window into the different styles of the Joshi scene.

Emi Sakura graced us with a truly royal look, coming to the ring wearing a cape of red made for a Queen. Underneath was one of her most beautiful attires, a combination of deep purple and delicate lilac. The color purple historically was used by royals to show their wealth and power, as the dye was one of the most expensive at the time. So, the dark velvet and light floaty material combined with the color choice is perfect for the legendary Queen of Joshi.

Lulu Pencil accompanied Sakura to the ring sporting a black suit with tails and her signature pink to add a pop of color to the look. Riho also graced us with pink in her gear at AEW All Out. She sported a sparkly material that was eye catching, teamed with soft delicate white which is a symbol of purity. Riho is a pure babyface and this is reflected in the colors and material she uses.

Hikaru Shida has been through a transformation since losing the AEW Women’s Championship. With the symbolic cutting of her hair, she is now in a new chapter of her career. Along with this her gear has changed, she is still sporting the red colour we have all become accustomed too while changing the black to a white.

She is going through a metamorphosis right now, from the tough leather and PVC of her old gear to the more delicate light materials of her new gear. She has proven her toughness in the ring but now she is ready to embrace her softer side, but that doesn’t mean she should be underestimated.

#4 The Stars of the Dark Order burned their brightest at AEW All Out

Anna Jay returned to the ring at AEW All Out
Anna Jay returned to the ring at AEW All Out

Anna Jay and Tay Conti were a cohesive unit during this year's AEW All Out. The Queenslayer returned to help her bestie on the September 1st episode of AEW Dynamite, reuniting one of the most wholesome and hard-hitting teams in the women’s division.

The two women had a black and gold theme, the colors of AEW. Although their gear at AEW All Out matched in color scheme, they still kept their individual identities. While Anna Jay sported gold stars all over her gear, Tay Conti offset her black look with gold stripes and her signature fishnets & suspenders.

The cohesion between the two has been lovely to see, and there were on point at AEW All Out as well. With them being very vocal of wanting to face The IInspiration, formerly known as The IIconics, the future looks bright for these two.
