AEW has signed some of the biggest names in wrestling. They have now added yet another name to their already-stacked list of employees. And that signing was announced by AEW President Tony Khan.

Khan announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he has signed Carlos Cabrera, the popular Spanish announcer. Cabrera has had a great career and was part of the WWE's Spanish announce team from 1993 to 2022. He also called WrestleMania matches on multiple occasions. After working for WWE for over two decades, he joined the Jacksonville-based company.

The reactions from the wrestling fans were divided. Some were excited about the signing.

"Childhood memories unlocked," a fan posted.
"Awesome addition to the team!" wrote another.
"THE voice of wrestling for spanish speaking viewers," posted this fan.
"He is synonymous with lucha libre or wrestling in Latin America. His voice alongside Hugo Savinovich fills a good space in my heart when I think of WWE in the 2000s. Great signing," this fan seems happy to hear the news.

Some fans had a hard time remembering who the particular individual was and had mixed feelings about the signing:

"Can someone tell me who this is," asked this fan.
"Who is he?" asked another.
"Aren’t you a little over budget?" posted a fan.
"Hey Tony!? How about hiring a better booker? Focus on that than hiring more talent," a fan wrote.

AEW has routinely hired people who have earlier had stints in WWE, both those who face the camera and backstage talent. In January of this year, Khan brought in Kosha Irby as the Chief Operating Officer. Irby worked with WWE as a Regional Director from 2011 to 2018.

As far as in-ring talent goes, Tony Khan has brought in some of the biggest names of the Stamford-based company, including Dustin and Cody Rhodes, Adam "Edge" Copeland, Chris Jericho, Christian Cage, Toni Storm, Saraya, and Mercedes Mone, to name a few. Cody Rhodes, however, left AEW in 2022 to make his way back to WWE.

Cabrera joins legends such as Taz and Jim Ross in the commentary team of Tony Khan's wrestling promotion

Carlos Cabrera joined a commentary team that includes some insanely popular names, including Taz, Tony Schiavone, and, on occasion, Paul Wight. Perhaps the most popular commentator that the Tony Khan-led promotion currently has is Jim Ross. JR's initial contract had ended in 2022, but he re-signed with the company.

Ross has been one of the most important announcers, with him doing the honors for Sting's last match at AEW, an iconic and entertaining bout. JR has been the voice of All Elite Wrestling since its inception in 2019.

Taz has been with AEW for a while now, and his son, HOOK, is the current FTW Champion. Some rumors say The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil is exploring other options and may leave AEW soon.

With all the top talent and multiple shows every week, it remains to be seen who else Tony Khan will add to his roster.
