Swerve Strickland is set for a blockbuster rematch against one of his close friends and allies on an upcoming AEW television special. Days ahead of the bout, The Realest has relayed a message to his opponent, Will Ospreay, on social media.
Swerve was involved in a chaotic and violent Anarchy in the Arena Match last month at Double or Nothing 2025, where he and his teammates Kenny Omega, Willow Nightingale, and The Opps defeated The Death Riders and The Young Bucks. In the main event of the same pay-per-view, Adam Page defeated Will Ospreay in the finals of this year's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
After the event, The Aerial Assassin stayed true to his word and lent The Cowboy his support as the latter heads to All In: Texas to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. However, Ospreay's attempt to broker an alliance between Page and Strickland to take down The Death Riders has been met with resounding opposition from both men.
The Englishman is resolved to clear the path for Hangman Page to dethrone The One True King and bring back the World Title to the locker room. Believing that Swerve's hatred for his nemesis might jeopardize this mission, Ospreay called out the self-proclaimed "most dangerous man of AEW" to face him once again at Summer Blockbuster. They last battled at Forbidden Door 2024, where The Mogul emerged victorious.
With the bout now officially scheduled for the upcoming TV special, Swerve has taken to X to send a message to the former International Champion.
"'Everytime [sic] we fight, we learn!'" he wrote.

Swerve Strickland has no love lost for his AEW arch-rival
This Wednesday at Collision: Fyter Fest, Adam Page saved Will Ospreay from a post-match beatdown at the hands of CRU after The Aerial Assassin's victory over Lio Rush. The Cowboy solidified his loyalty toward The Commonwealth Kingpin, but afterwards he declared in emphatic terms that he did not want, and would not accept, any help from Swerve Strickland to win the AEW World Championship at All In: Texas.
The feeling seems to be mutual, as The New Flavor took to X after the show to respond to Page's statement, writing:
"Good, b**ch!"

Although Hangman has Ospreay in his corner to back him up against the Jon Moxley-led group, it remains to be seen if he will need Swerve's aid as well to reclaim the World Title on July 12.
