Tony Khan's role in AEW's success is massive. He is not only the company's co-founder but also its general manager, head of creative, Chief Executive Officer, and president. He has the keys to the kingdom, and his decisions are taking them to new heights.

Tony Khan has created several stars in the past few years, including MJF, Hangman Adam Page, Toni Storm, Swerve Strickland, and others. Most wrestlers signed to the company are utilized well. However, there are a few names whom the 42-year-old simply does not book anymore.

One of the latest victims of underutilization is former two-time AEW TNT Champion Scorpio Sky. Many fans, as well as veterans, strongly believe that Khan needs to make better financial and business decisions. According to them, if a talent is not getting utilized, he or she should be let go. Even WWE veteran Vince Russo stated the same sentiment on the Brand podcast.

He said that signing wrestlers, but paying them for sitting in catering, means wasting money and resources. And this is not good for business.

"If you have got somebody under contract, you use them. If you are not going to use them, they should not be under contract. You got the guy under you, you’re paying the guy until the time is right? I mean, Al, am I right or wrong? This is dollars and cents.," he said. (H/T EW Wrestling)

AEW star Scorpio Sky is unaware why he does not get booked anymore

In a recent episode of Creating Character with Scorpio Sky & James Willems podcast, the former TNT Champion admitted that his career has seen better days. He added that he is healthy and wants to enter the squared circle once again if he gets the opportunity.

"My career has sure taken a nosedive, hasn't it? I don't know if there is bad blood or not. I know I'm healthy and I've been healthy for a long time and I've been wanting to compete. It's just one of those things, what can you do? he said. (H/T Whatculture)

It can't be said if Tony Khan will bring Sky back to AEW TV, but hopefully, his departure from the company will not be bitter.
