5 AEW Stars' wives and their professions

Several AEW Stars are currently married to women who work in non-wrestling-related jobs.

Like in WWE, there are a few couples in All Elite Wrestling. AEW Stars Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford, for example, tied the knot last February. However, other company stars do not have the same privilege of working with their spouses.

These AEW Stars' wives currently work ordinary jobs. Although some of them are known to wrestling fans being former wrestlers, others are not.

These lesser-known spouses of AEW in-ring performers have never stepped inside the squared circle. Instead, they chose to pursue different careers than their husbands. They work in fields like acting, writing, and fitness training.

Here are five AEW Stars' wives and their professions.

#5. AEW Star Christopher Daniels - Lisa Collelew

AEW Star Christopher Daniels kicked off his wrestling career in 1993, days before marrying his wife, Lisa Collelew. He wrestled on the independent circuit for a few years before joining WWE in 1998. Daniels' WWE run was not very successful. Nearly two years later, he moved to WCW but only for a few months.

Daniels left WCW in early 2001. Following his departure, he wrestled in several promotions, including TNA (Impact Wrestling).

In January 2019, Daniels was announced among the first signees of AEW. In addition to being an in-ring competitor, the 51-year-old is also the Head of Talent Relations.

Christopher Daniels holds a degree in theater. Before he became a pro wrestler, he dreamed of becoming an actor.

"I graduated college hoping to be an actor and so after I graduated I moved to Chicago to sort of break into the theater scene out there and I’d always joked with, well at the time she was my girlfriend, she’s now my wife, but I joked around and I said 'well, maybe if this acting thing doesn’t work out maybe I can be a pro wrestler'," he told Bleacher Report.

Daniels revealed in an old interview that his wife was an actress. He also disclosed how she helped him kick off his wrestling career.

"She found a school in Chicago called Windy City Pro Wrestling and she made an appointment for me and I went in and spoke to Sam DeCero who was the owner and provider and I came out of there think, I’ll give this a shot and if I fail at it at least I can say I tried at it, and I did not fail, I went in and excelled,” he added in his Bleacher Report interview.

Daniels and Lisa have a son and a daughter. Lisa seems to have put her acting career behind her back as she now keeps a low profile.

#4. AEW Star Sting - Sabine Glenn

Sting is a legend in the wrestling business. The WWE Hall of Famer worked for several promotions, including WCW and WWE, before joining AEW in December 2020.

The 62-year-old has married twice. In 1986, he tied the knot with Sue Borden. Their marriage lasted nearly 24 years before they got divorced in 2010. The six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion married again in 2015.

Sting's second wife, Sabine Glenn, is from Karlsruhe, Germany. According to her Facebook profile, Glenn is a former personal trainer. She is currently an Executive Assistant at Dorado Exploration.

Since his debut in AEW, Sting has joined forces with Darby Allin. The two stars have wrestled together in only three matches. In their first match, they defeated Brian Cage and Ricky Starks at AEW Revolution last March. Nearly two months later, they scored their second victory against Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky at Double of Nothing.

Sting fought his third match alongside Allin a few days ago. On the August 18 episode of Dynamite, they defeated Jeff Parker and Matt Lee. Sting is scheduled to be in Allin's corner when the latter goes one-on-one with the returning CM Punk at AEW All Out.

#3. AEW Star Christian Cage - Denise Hartmann

AEW Star Christian Cage married Denise Hartmann nearly 20 years ago. He was on a WWE tour in England when he fell in love with the woman who worked as a model.

Christian keeps his private life away from the spotlight. His wife also keeps a low profile and is not active on social media. Despite this, she made a few non-wrestling appearances on TNA during her husband's rivalry with Abyss in 2006.

Christian Cage has been on a roll since joining AEW earlier this year. Aside from getting eliminated from the Casino Battle Royale at AEW Double or Nothing last May, the 47-year-old remains undefeated.

Cage's undefeated streak earned him an AEW World Championship title match against Kenny Omega. He also challenged Omega for the Impact World Championship, which the latter also held.

On August 13, Captain Charisma beat Omega on the premiere episode of Rampage to become the new Impact World Champion.

#2. AEW Star Jack Hager - Catalina White

Fans might recognize Catalina White as she made a few appearances alongside her husband Jack Hager in AEW. White is no stranger to the wrestling business, having tried her luck before with WWE for a very short stint. She also wrestled occasionally on different promotions.

Like Denise Hartmann, White is a model. Hager's wife has appeared in several recognized magazines like Maxim, FHM, and Complex.

Besides being a model, Catalina White also works as a Pilates instructor. She posts workout videos on her Instagram account for her 29 thousand followers.

Hager has been in the pro wrestling business for nearly a decade and a half. He kicked off his career in 2006, signing a developmental contract with WWE. The 39-year-old made his main roster debut two years later.

Hager spent nine years on the WWE main roster, during which he won several championships, including the World Heavyweight Title. In 2019, following his departure from WWE, Hager joined AEW.

The 39-year-old has not competed in AEW since last July. On the July 7 episode of Dynamite, he teamed up with Ortiz and Santana to face Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood, and Wardlow. Hager's team lost the match.

#1. AEW Star CM Punk - AJ Lee

CM Punk has finally returned to the squared circle, making his historic AEW debut last Friday on AEW Rampage. Punk is a wrestling legend, and his wife, AJ Lee, is no less.

Lee is considered one of the best WWE female superstars of all time and is widely considered responsible for the current "Women's Revolution."

Following her retirement, AJ Lee became a writer. She published her memoir "Crazy Is My Superpower: How I Triumphed by Breaking Bones, Breaking Hearts, and Breaking the Rules" in 2017. She also worked with Aimee Garcia on other publications such as "GLOW vs. The Babyface" and "Dungeons & Dragons: At the Spine of the World."

The former Divas Champion is also an advocate for mental health awareness and animal welfare. She worked with several organizations and received the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)'s Multicultural Outreach Award in 2018.

Following Punk's return, many wrestling fans have expressed their desire to see his wife follow in his footsteps. However, the 34-year-old seems to be doing just fine away from the squared circle.
