The Chakra Absorption technique has the potential to be incredibly powerful, if used correctly. It allows the user to drain chakra from their opponent by touching them with the palm of their hand. This was used on Sasuke Uchiha by Akado Yoroi in the original Naruto series.

However, this ability does leave the user vulnerable. If the target dodges the user's hand then it will be incredibly difficult for them to recover but easy for the enemy to counter attack. This technique is best used for sneak attacks.

9) Water Prison Technique

The Water Prison Technique is a powerful Jutsu. By using this technique, the target is trapped within a sphere of water. This cuts off the target's air supply and will slowly suffocate them until they are unable to fight.

However, there are a few ways to counter it. In Naruto Shippuden, Kisame countered this technique by using water-style. He kept filling the water prison until there was too much water inside and it burst open, releasing Kisame. Neji also countered it by releasing chakra from all of his tenketsu, chakra points, simultaneously and attacking the water prison.

If users of this ability make sure to completely incapacitate their opponents before using it, it will be an extremely powerful ability to have.

8) Spiked Jizo

A technique attributed to Jiraiya, and recently Kashin Koji as well, the Spiked Jizo is a powerful defensive technique.

When Jiraiya was assaulted by a barrage of arrows in the Naruto anime, he used this technique to protect himself. He sent chakra throughout his hair and wrapped it around him like a protective blanket.

This allowed him to deflect all of the arrows that flew towards him. Jiraiya was also able to launch strands of his hair like senbon. However, this Jutsu does not cover the user entirely. Some areas of the body are still left vulnerable.

7) Armor of Sand

The Armor of Sand is mainly utilized by Gaara throughout the series. This technique covers the user in a durable layer of hardened sand. It can repel attacks quite well and can easily be fixed as long as the sand is nearby.

However, if it is repeatedly hit with quick, strong strikes, then it will begin to crack and break down. This is seen in the fight between Gaara and Rock Lee during the first Chunin Exams in Naruto.

6) Gentle Fist Taijutsu

A signature of the Hyuga clan, Gentle Fist Taijutsu is a perfect mix of offense and defense. Users, typically Hyuga clan members with the Byakugan, target their opponents' tenketsu in order to block the flow of chakra and possibly inflict internal damage.

By stopping the flow of chakra, their opponents will not be able to use any type of Jutsu, and will be completely vulnerable.

The most prominent users of this technique are Hinata Hyuga, Neji Hyuga, and Hiashi Hyuga. They all mastered this fighting style through years of harsh physical training and Byakugan training. They demonstrated their strengths during the Fourth Great Ninja War.

5) Chidori

This Lightning Release technique was developed by Kakashi and can only be used properly by someone with the Sharingan. The user channels a high amount of lightning chakra and concentrates it in their hand.

The Chidori has incredible offensive capabilities. With its unmatched piercing power, it can break through almost any defense in the series. Shinobi always know the Chidori is coming once they hear the screams of 1000 birds.

4) Tsukuyomi

This technique is the most powerful Sharingan genjutsu in the series, and Itachi's signature move.

Tsukuyomi allows Itachi to trap anyone who makes eye-contact with him in a powerful illusion. An aspect of Tsukuyomi he often used was its ability to change the target's perception of time.

When Itachi used Tsukuyomi on Kakashi, he subjected him to days worth of intense torture in mere seconds, and when he used it on Sasuke for the first time, Itachi made him watch a loop of the Uchiha Massacre for 24 hours.

3) Amaterasu

The Amaterasu is Sasuke Uchiha's signature Mangekyo Sharingan ability and is known as the highest level of fire-style techniques. No other fire-style ninjutsu produces black flames. Towards the end of Naruto Shippuden, Sasuke is seen combining this Jutsu with other techniques.

The black flames produced by Amaterasu are said to burn anything and everything for no matter how long. Only the user is capable of putting them out; however, they are also capable of being absorbed by an Otsutsuki or someone with the Karma.

2) Night Guy

This technique is incredibly destructive. Night Guy is the most forbidden taijutsu technique and is only accessible after the user has opened all Eight Gates. By opening the Gate of Death, the user is capable of wielding unimaginable power. One can tear through tons of rocks and blast through mountains with ease.

During Might Guy's battle with Madara, the former almost died after using this technique. If Naruto had not restored Guy's chakra network with the Six Paths Yang Power, the latter would have died on the battlefield.

1) Rasengan

One of the most iconic jutsu in Naruto, the Rasengan is an incredibly destructive technique. Its many variants make it one of the most diverse and unpredictable techniques in the series.

The most powerful form of the Rasengan, excluding the Rasenshuriken, is Naruto and Boruto's version of the Parent-and-Child Rasengan. This technique was capable of destroying the trunk of the God Tree and completely disintegrating Momoshiki.
