With the release of Blue Lock chapter 217, fans got to witness Isagi analyzing Ubers and Barou, as to how they managed to score the equalizing goal. While Bastard Munchen was aware of Ubers' tactical play, seeing it in action was a new experience.

In the previous episode, Barou was convinced to work with Marc Snuffy, after which he was instructed not to shoot when he wanted to, but when the time was appropriate. Thus, Barou displayed the same by hitting his mid-range shot when he was out of Gagamaru's sight, scoring the equalizing goal.

Blue Lock chapter 217, titled Predator Eye, opened with Barou celebrating his goal as everyone was shocked that goalkeeper Gagamaru could not even take a single step to stop the goal. Following that, Isagi started to analyze Ubers and Barou as to how they managed to score the goal.

He realized that Ubers might have had the plan to crush Isagi and immediately initiate a counterattack, not giving him enough time to stop them. While Isagi was aware of Ubers' tactics and acknowledged how hard they must have worked on the same, the tactics did not explain Shoei Barou's stealthy mid-range shot.

Isagi then realized that Barou kept Gagamaru in his field of vision, allowing him to see the timing when he was off his guard. At that moment, Barou placed his shot, scoring the outrageous stealthy shot. Thus, Isagi realized that Barou had come up with a new way to utilize his vision and create the predator eye, using which he mass produces goals by out-reading the goalkeeper.

At the same time, Ness was frustrated about his uselessness when Kaiser asked him to buckle up as he needed him to peel off Lorenzo from him. As the match resumed, Kaiser and Ness progressed towards the attacking third when Lorenzo came to stop them, however, Ness managed to get Kaiser past Lorenzo by using a one-two lob pass.

That's when Aryu cleared the ball, which was heading towards Ness. However, Lorenzo blocked him and was set to receive the ball when Yoichi Isagi intercepted it using his meta vision. Isagi realized that if he were to use his meta-vision wisely, he would be able to steal the ball from Ubers.

Just as Isagi was about to begin his attack, Niko instantly reached his position, kicking the ball out of bounds. Isagi was surprised that Niko was able to get past his vision. That's when Niko revealed that he was similar to Isagi when it came to his vision in football, hinting that he had meta vision as well.

Blue Lock chapter 217 saw Ikki Niko revealing his meta vision to Yoichi Isagi. While it was always implied that Niko was similar to Isagi, this is the first time Niko's eyes have been suggested to have meta vision. However, if one looks at the illustration, Niko's meta vision looks different from that of Isagi's, as the lines in his eyes' pattern are straight, while Isagi's are like that of a puzzle.
