As fans must remember, the Rent a Girlfriend manga's current story arc was supposed to be decisive for the relationship between Kazuya and Chizuru. After Kazuya had conveyed his feelings to Chizuru, he was hoping to get a response from her about how she felt about him.

That's exactly what the manga has been doing for the previous three chapters. After remembering what her grandmother told her about responding to people's feelings as soon as possible, Chizuru started conveying her feelings to Kazuya.

Chizuru thanked Kayuza for loving her and staying by her side during her sad and tough times. She often wondered if having a relationship with one of her clients was the right thing to do. On top of that, there was also the incident where she kissed him in Hawaii. Amidst all her doubts, after getting to know him more during the past month, she concluded that she might be in love with him.

In the past month, she constantly wondered if she had any right to put on the ring that Kazuya's family entrusted to her. While she loved Kazuya's grandmother Nagomi, mother Harumi, and father Kazuo, she still could not put on the ring. Chizuru added that she did not regret kissing Kazuya in Hawaii, and she would have done that no matter how many times they ended up in the situation they did.

However, she believed there was more to that than just being in love with Kazuya. She believed that it had something to do with her being unable to bear the idea of facing Nagomi-san or Kibe-san, or even the fact that she could not bring herself to forgive Mami-san.

With that, Chizuru concluded that, while she might have feelings for Kazuya, considering her current lifestyle, work, and everything else, she did not feel like she could jump into a relationship.
