Sayumi Suzushiro is a voice actress whom some Genshin Impact players might recognize past her role as Kirara. This VA entered the industry back in 2017 and has gone on to vocalize various characters for several animes and video games. The following list will focus solely on her anime roles that some players might recognize. It is worth noting that this article only concentrates on everything prior to Sayumi Suzushiro voicing Kirara in Genshin Impact.

Any new notable characters past Kirara won't be featured here. As far as "popular anime characters" go, this article will primarily reference iconic characters from well-known TV shows. The following entries are not ranked in any particular order.

Note: Some aspects of this article are subjective.

Five of Sayumi Suzushiro's most notable anime roles besides Genshin Impact's Kirara

1) Akira Ono

Hi Score Girl was a fairly popular romantic comedy anime that ran from 2018 to 2019 that was on several popular platforms like Netflix. The main female lead of this show was Akira Ono, who was the complete opposite of the male main character in some ways. Whereas he is pretty unremarkable and unskilled in things past gaming, Akira Ono is much more talented.

The main romance is obvious between the two characters. Gaming is a big part of this show, which is evident in the title being Hi Score Girl. Sayumi Suzushiro voices her in the Japanese dub, which was arguably her first significant role.

2) Kei Shirogane

Kei Shirogane is a character from Kaguya-sama: Love is War, yet another popular romantic comedy anime. The famous manga ended fairly recently, back on November 2, 2022, with the finale movie being released on December 17, 2022. While the show was big, Kei Shirogane's role was that of a supporting one.

Nonetheless, she's still well-liked by fans and is the sister of the main male protagonist, Miyuki Shirogane. Kei supports her brother's relationship with Kaguya and is also known for her rather defiant attitude at times. Sayumi Suzushiro is her Kei's main voice actress.

3) Nijika Ijichi

Sayumi Suzushiro also voices Nikija Ijichi, one of the main characters of Bocchi the Rock! Nikija is a drummer best known for being the glue that holds the band together and is beloved for her kindness. Of the animes discussed so far, Bochi the Rock! is arguably the most popular and well-received.

The show has a rating of 8.9/10 on MyAnimeList with over 236,000 votes. Unsurprisingly, Nikija Ijichi is one of the most popular characters on the show, making her a perfect addition to a list of Sayumi Suzushiro's most popular anime roles thus far.

4) Uruka Takemoto

While Sayumi Suzushiro's following two roles might not be as iconic as the previous three, they're still worth discussing due to the popularity of their fandoms. We Never Learn (also known as Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai!) is yet another romantic comedy, except it's of the harem slice-of-life genre.

One of the love interests of the main protagonist is Uruka Takemoto, an athletic girl who has known Nariyuki since middle school. In her ending within the light novel, she ends up with him happily married.

5) Dodonko

The Konosuba anime series is quite well-known, so it's no surprise that a few movies were made. Sayumi Suzushiro voices a minor character named Dodonko in the film God's Blessing on This Wonderful World!: Legend of Crimson. Dodonko was a classmate of the extremely popular Megumin, with the former character jealous of the latter.

Dodonko is usually seen with Funifura, who is also envious of Megumin. By now, Genshin Impact players should have an idea of many of Sayumi Suzushiro's past roles. Most of the famous ones are tied to comedies, some of which are romantic in nature. This VA's comedic talent should suit Kirara.
