He used his magic to cover himself with water and walked through fire and located Kaori, Kaede, and Kanzaki.
After locating the girls, Yuya tried to carry them back down, but the fire had spread more widely, and his magic did not seem like it would last long. Thus, in desperation, Yuya used his magic to force himself down the mall by crumbling the ceilings of each floor and managed to rescue his friends.
Nevertheless, what Yuya did was reckless, and he received a scolding for it. As for the girls, they were safe as Kaori's father arrived and thanked Yuya for rescuing his daughter. Later, Yuya went back home, thinking about his family situation when Night reminded him that he was his family.
