Bad Girl anime announces July 2025 release date, new cast, and opening theme with main PV

On Monday, June 9, 2025, the official website and X account of the Bad Girl anime unveiled the main promotional video. The short clip revealed the anime's release date—July 6, 2025—and introduced the opening theme song. A new cast member was also announced.

Produced by Studio Bridge, Bad Girl anime is an adaptation of Nikumaru's four-panel manga series of the same name. The manga has been serialized in Houbunsha's Manga Time Carat magazine since March 2021, with four volumes released thus far.

Bad Girl anime's main trailer confirms the July 6, 2025, premiere

According to the latest promotional video from the official staff, Bad Girl anime will air its episodes every Sunday at 1 am JST from July 6, 2025 (stylized as Saturday, 25:00 JST, on July 5, 2025) on Tokyo MX and BS11 channels. The series will also air on RCC Chugoku Broadcasting, HTB Hokkaido, and AT-X.

Furthermore, the series will be digitally distributed on Amazon Prime Video, ABEMA, DMM TV, and other services. HIDIVE will stream the series in select global regions, including North America.

Bad Girl anime's latest trailer shows the main heroine, Yu Yutani, acting like a delinquent to attract the attention of her school's disciplinary committee chairman, Atori Mizutori. The video also previews the opening theme song, Super Big Love!, performed by Tenrogun.

Furthermore, the official staff announced that Yui Horie will voice Maria Komari, a character who appears in the newly released PV. A comment from Yui-san on the anime's official site mentions her first impressions regarding the work and the character she's playing.

The previous cast members are Azusa Tachibana as Yu Yutani, Niina Hanamiya as Atori Mizutori, Miharu Hanai as Rura Ruriha, Misato Matsuoka as Suzu Suzukaze, Kaori Maeda as Mizuka Mizutori, and Lynn as Kiyoraka Sumiki.

Takeshi Furuta, who has previously contributed to the Shaman King anime, is directing the comedy anime at Studio Bridge, with Shoji Yonemura in charge of handling the scripts. Yuki Morimoto is the character designer, while Arisa Okehazama is the music composer. More staff members will be announced in the future.

Based on Nikumaru's original manga series, Bad Girl anime centers on Yu Yutani, a first-year high school girl who has a crush on her school's disciplinary committee chairman, Atori Mizutori. Yu discovers that it's difficult to approach Atori. Therefore, she begins to act like a delinquent to get close to her. As such, the series will showcase Yutani's shenanigans.
