The Nyaight of the Living Cat anime promotional video also comes with the confirmation that the rock band THE YELLOW MONKEY will be involved in the soundtrack of this production. There is also confirmation that every episode will end with a segment of new material regarding the process of living with cats for a better experience, which is strongly connected with the story's plot.

As mentioned earlier, the Nyaight of the Living Cat anime has recently been confirmed to have a July 2025 release date through the recent promotional video on YouTube. This video focuses on the characters and the upcoming issues involving a cat apocalypse. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the rock band THE YELLOW MONKEY will be involved by playing the opening song, Cat City.
Some of the voice cast members confirmed for the project are Tomoko Miyadera as Grandma, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Keisuke, Atsumi Tanezaki as Suō, Satoshi Tsuruoka as Mitsuru, and Hiroshi Naka as Kōji. It is also worth pointing out that Crunchyroll will stream this series on July 6 in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, and many more regions outside of Asia.
The premise of the series

The Nyaight of the Living Cat anime is a comedy manga that was originally written and drawn by Hawkman and Mecha-Robots, respectively, and has been published since 2020 in the shonen magazine Monthly Comic Garden. It has also been confirmed that the anime will be directed by the duo of Takashi Miike (as the chief director) and Tomohiro Kamitani.
This is a series where an apocalypse takes place as a virus spreads, turning a lot of people into cats, much to the shock of the main character, Kunagi, and the rest of the cast. Kunagi himself has no recollection of his past but loves cats. So, he has to find a way to survive people turned into those animals because of cuddles, and he struggles to resist the urge to do so.
