As mentioned earlier, The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princesses anime is set to debut on July 5, 2025. The pilot episode will stream exclusively and for free on ABEMA on July 5, 2025, at 11:00 pm JST (10:00 am EDT).
A few days later, the episode will air on Japanese television networks like Tokyo TV and Sun TV on July 12, 2025, at 10:30 pm JST (9:30 am EDT). It will then be broadcast on additional networks, including BS 11 and Tochigi TV, as confirmed by the anime's official website.
The key visual released with the announcement shows Ciel, Anemone, and Gore whispering "Shhh!" as they wield their weapons behind Toto's back. The story follows Toto, the main protagonist, who, despite being strong, is very shy and has trouble forming a party. One day, three beautiful women—Ciel, Anemone, and Gore—approach him to form a party. However, their secret goal is to assassinate him.
The announcement revealed the names of several cast members who will be working on the anime adaptation of The Stunned Hero and the Assassin Princesses:
- Shunsuke Takeuchi plays Toto, the protagonist
- Iori Saeki plays Ciel
- Hitomi Ueda plays Anemone
- Haruka Shiraishi plays Gore
Noriaki Akitaya, known for his famous works like Persona 3 the Movie, Code Geass, Active Raid, and Bakuman, will be directing the series under Studio CONNECT. Michiko Yokote, famously known for Shirobako, Tsurune, and Train to the End of the World, will be in charge of the series scripts.
Additionally, Takao Sano, known for works like Chitose Get You!!, Shomin Sample, and The Unwanted Undead Adventurer, will be in charge of character design, while Shun Narita will be the music composer for the series. The voice cast members for Ciel, Anemone, and Gore will be performing the ending theme song "Suki Magazine."
