According to the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the series, Kagurabachi chapter 83 has been delayed by a week and will now be released on Monday, June 23, 2025, on the magazine's 30th issue. Previously, the chapter was slated to be released on June 16, 2025.

The chapter will be on a break this week due to author Takeru Hokazono's sudden illness. An official statement has also arrived from the author himself on his X account. However, neither Hokazono nor the manga's editorial staff specified the nature of the author's illness.

On June 12, 2025, the manga's official X handle (@kagurabachi_X) released a notice, confirming the postponement of Kagurabachi chapter 83. According to the statement, the chapter, which was scheduled to be published in the Weekly Shonen Jump's 29th issue (June 16, 2025), will be on a hiatus due to Takeru Hokazono's sudden deterioration in health.

Instead, Kagurabachi chapter 83 will be published in the next week's issue, i.e., Weekly Shonen Jump #30 on June 23, 2025. Many fans from different parts of the world can access the chapter earlier on June 22, 2025, due to time zone differences. The official staff has also thanked fans for their cooperation.

Takeru Hokazono's manga hasn't seen many delays since its inception in September 2023. Previously, the manga's chapter 59 was postponed by a week due to undisclosed reasons. Instead of that, a bonus chapter, marked 58.1, featuring a filler story about Genichi Sojo, was released in the break week.

Unfortunately, Hokazono or the editorial staff didn't announce whether or not a similar bonus chapter will be released in this week's issue instead of Kagurabachi chapter 83. That said, the author has updated fans with a message on his X account. Hokazono's message in Japanese, when translated into English, reads as follows:

"There will be no publication next week, sorry for worrying you. I'm currently writing energetically!"

As evident, Hokazono has assured fans that he's doing well in terms of health, and is focusing on the narrative aspect, if not the illustrations. Notably, the mangaka has been working relentlessly to meet Weekly Shonen Jump's tight schedule. Sometimes, the workload is evident from Hokazono reusing many panels from previous chapters.

Therefore, the author has been due a break, as many fans would agree. Meanwhile, the manga is at a crucial juncture at this point, with Chihiro Rokuhira engaged in a battle against Seiichi Samura.

The clash between Enten and Tobimune Enchanted Blades has been enticing, to say the least. Fans must wait another week to see the battle unfold in Kagurabachi chapter 83.
