Kaiju No. 8 manga set to end in two chapters
On Friday, June 6, 2025, the official X account of Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ announced that Naoya Matsumoto's sci-fi battle action manga Kaiju No. 8 will end in two chapters.
This announcement came after the release of chapter 127. The manga also confirmed that the next installment, i.e., chapter 128, will be published on Friday, June 20, 2025. After that, the manga will publish its final chapter.

Considering the manga's biweekly schedule, it can be assumed that the series will release its chapter 129 on July 4. However, as neither the manga nor Shonen Jump+ has announced the same, while unlikely, there is a possibility of a break before the final chapter.
Fans' reaction to Kaiju No. 8 manga ending
Most fans were devastated to learn that the manga was ending. While it is true that the manga was dragging out its ongoing battle for quite a long time, they believed that there would be more plot points after the battle concluded.

Another fan expressed confusion over the recent rise in Shueisha manga receiving rushed, terrible endings. As per the manga fans, the series was yet to give fans a conclusion to the ongoing battle, showcase Kafka Hibino's resolution, and provide a satisfying conclusion to the story. Hence, there was no way the manga could wrap up all that in just two chapters.
"WHAT? BRUH HOW THEY GONNA WRAP UP EVERYTHING IN 2 CHAPTERS," one fan said.
"Dude "what" is with these rushed terrible endings bro? My hero, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer.... good freaking grief," another fan added.
"Rip long running manga," another fan said.
"okay with this, Manga doesnt need to drag on. Hopefully it wraps up nicely," other fan said.
Meanwhile, some fans were okay with the manga ending soon. While the IP was very popular, they did not want it to be milked and eventually ruined for the readers. Some even expressed their delight at finally getting the opportunity to binge-read the entire series.
