With the recent news and hoopla surrounding Netflix's One Piece live-action series as of late, fans are desperate to learn of any leaked information for the upcoming series. Unfortunately, there is no such verifiable spoiler information at the time of this article's writing, with rumors having yet to be meaningfully corroborated.
That being said, there is a set of alleged One Piece live-action leaks that have yet to be either verified or disproven by big names in the franchise's leaker community. While fans are still taking this information with a grain of salt given the lack of confirmation, it doesn't necessarily seem to be untrue as of yet.
Even more convincing is that the leaked episode titles seemingly match what each episode should be covering. However, there are a few incongruencies within the alleged leak which also take some credibility away. While it is best that fans go into the new adaptation with no preconceived notions, these latest leaks don't seem to be wholly inaccurate.
One Piece live-action leaks are seemingly accurate, but have a couple of key red flags
The latest
Twitter user @OnePieceDefend posted what they claim to be the episode titles and lengths for all eight installments of One Piece live-action's first season. They also shared additional information regarding the budget, scene reviews, translational choices, and more.
However, there are some incongruencies with @OnePieceDefend's claims. For example, they share the run-time for every installment but episode 4, which they claim is entitled A frog in the well. This references the line said to Roronoa Zoro by Dracule Mihawk during their first encounter, which the live-action series will undoubtedly be adapting this coming season.
In and of itself, this isn't necessarily a red flag. However, considering that they acquired the runtime for every other episode, it seems rather suspicious. The Twitter user also claims that Mackenyu, the actor who plays Zoro in the series, will be using two actual swords with the third being CGI.
However, this disputes reports on set photos from December 2021, where Mackenyu or a stunt double for Mackenyu was seen with two swords in hand and one in their mouth.
Another apparent incongruency in @OnePieceDefend's alleged One Piece live-action leaks is that they claim that the "Zoro versus Mihawk scene is beautiful." It seems somewhat juxtaposing to share commentary on a fight scene presumably seen within the A frog in the well episode, but not to have runtime information on it despite every other episode having the same.
All in all, the information seems to be rather inconsistent with both previous reports and @OnePieceDefend's own claims regarding the information they have. While fans may see the Twitter user's claims eventually being proven right, it seems best to take this information as fact with caution as of this article's writing.
