One Piece to Jujutsu Kaisen: Complete list of every major manga on Golden Week break and when they'll return

With the Golden Week break fast approaching, several manga series are set to pause forthcoming releases due to their magazine breaks. Out of these magazine companies, the two behemoths are Shueisha and Kodansha, both of which primarily focus on manga series. Thus, fans are keen to know which manga are on break and when they shall return.

Golden Week is a holiday period in Japan that comprises multiple public holidays. While only four of the seven days are public holidays, the entire week is majorly considered a holiday. The Golden Week this year starts on Monday, April 29, and ends on Sunday, May 5.

Detailed release dates of One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, and other manga after the Golden Week break

All manga, no matter which publication, releases its new chapters at 12 am JST on their respective release dates. Given that both Shueisha and Kodansha have different release schedules, we shall use "on the date" to denote the manga's release date as per Japan. Meanwhile, we shall use "the previous day" to denote the day prior to the manga's release in Japan.

Here are the release times one can expect for a particular manga to be released in different locations around the world:

As revealed by Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, all manga series in the magazine will be going on a one-week break due to the magazine's Golden Week break. Some manga chapters from popular series that are going to be delayed are as follows:

• One Piece chapter 1114
• Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 259
• My Hero Academia chapter 422
• Kagurabachi chapter 32
• Akane Banashi chapter 109
• Undead Unluck chapter 206
• Astro Royale chapter 4
• Blue Box chapter 148
• Mission: Yozakura Family chapter 225
• Me & Roboco chapter 184
• Sakamoto Days chapter 165
• Witch Watch chapter 155

These manga chapters should have originally been released on Monday, May 6, but will instead be released the following week.

Even Oshi no Ko manga from Weekly Young Jump magazine has revealed that chapter 148 will be delayed until Thursday, May 9, 2024.

Some of the exceptions include Chainsaw Man and Black Clover. Despite being the Golden Week break, Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga will be releasing chapter 164 on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. As for the Black Clover manga, it will be releasing its new two chapters on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

In the meantime, the Spy X Family manga, which is a biweekly series, will manage to avoid the Golden Week break due to its schedule.

Kodansha

As announced by K Manga's official X (formerly Twitter) account, Weekly Shonen Magazine will be on holiday due to the Golden Week break in Japan. Hence, fans can expect new chapters of their favorite manga to be released on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

These manga chapters include:

• Shangri-La Frontier chapter 176
• Wind Breaker chapter 142
• Edens Zero chapter 286
• Rent-a-Girlfriend chapter 328
• Blue Lock chapter 260
• The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter 148

That said, despite the break, there will be a new Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest chapter, expected to be released on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
