Ranma ½ episode 2 will air on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at 12:55 am JST. This popular series returned to Netflix, with the first episode introducing the character of Ranma Saotome. It explored how he and his father, Genma, were affected by cursed springs, causing Ranma to transform into a girl and Genma into a panda when touched by cold water.

However, it turns out that Genma had set up an arranged marriage for Ranma with the Tendo household, which now has three daughters, Nabiki, Akane, and Kasumi. Ultimately, Akane is chosen against her will to marry Ranma, but both teenagers oppose the marriage. Tensions escalate when Akane believes Ranma is using his female form to see her naked, resulting in numerous arguments and infighting.

Fans in Japan can watch Ranma ½ episode 2 on NNS (Nippon TV). Viewers overseas will also have the chance to watch the English-subbed rendition of Ranma ½ episode 2 on Netflix.

The episode starts with Soun Tendo, the patriarch of the Tendo household, receiving a letter from Genma Saotome. The letter states that Ranma is going to visit them soon. This results in the introduction of his three daughters: Akane, Kazumi, and Nabiki. Soun stated that he had arranged a marriage with Genma's son to keep their dojo in good hands.

However, the story then turns to a female Ranma running away from a panda as they engage in battle, and the latter uses dirty tricks to knock her out. She is later introduced to the Tendo family, alongside the panda. Akane befriends the redhead and even engages in a sparring match that showcases Ranma's superior fighting prowess.

In typical Rumiko Takahashi fashion, the series later revealed that Ranma transforms back into a guy when bathed in hot water. This is showcased when he and Akane accidentally see each other naked. Genma later admits that they fell into Chinese cursed springs that put said curses on them. However, that does not stop Akane from getting angry about being seen naked.

What to expect in Ranma ½ episode 2?

Ranma ½ episode 2 is likely going to focus on Ranma's first fight with Tatewaki Kuno at the school as the latter has a crush on Akane and doesn't want anyone else to be married to her. Moreover, there is also a very good chance that this episode will feature Dr. Tofu, an older man Akane has a crush on.
