Re:Monster episode 8 starts with Gobrou waking up to find Gobfu staring at him. Gobfu had recently evolved into a ghoul after eating many of the zombies from Gobrou's fights. Gobrou then comes across Gobuji and learns that Gobuji has evolved into a Half Saint Lord, gaining cleric-like healing powers.

Gobrou then meets the rest of the goblins, who had evolved into higher species due to their participation in the human-elf war. Although most of the problems were sorted out, Gobrou still had to address the huge number of prisoners in the goblin cave. Instead of following their usual goblin routine, Gobrou simply asks the prisoners to leave.

A few prisoners express their disdain towards Gobrou and challenge him to a duel. Gobrou defeats each opposing prisoner and then hands them to Gobkichi for training. Gobrou later starts working on a hot spring resort to utilize the hot springs that were discovered in the goblin caves.

After starting various projects, Gobrou builds a centipede-like familiar using his slime powers and parts from his undead skeletons. The captive human girls are disgusted by the centipede. Their disgust soon turns into concern after learning that Gobrou plans to use the centipede for transportation to send the captive human girls back to their villages.

The episode ends with Gobrou splitting the goblin population into groups tasked with espionage and exploration of the surrounding villages and nations. At the same time, he escorts the human captives back to their village.

Re:Monster episode 9: What to expect?

Re:Monster episode 9 will focus on Gobrou escorting his human captives back to their villages while encountering various other threats. Episode 9 will also pit Gobrou against a Jade Eagle, which will be one of the few formidable enemies he has faced.
