Season 1 of the anime adaptation of Akira Amano's Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective manga series, introduced to the anime world Ron Kamonohashi - an eccentric yet once-brilliant detective, who lost his license due to a mysterious incident.

However, Ron was able to get back into the detective world through Totomaru "Toto" Isshiki - a young but struggling detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division, who was being pulled off from important cases due to his constant failures.

Seeing this as an opportunity to re-enter his detective life, Ron agreed to help Toto solve difficult cases. Thus, an infamous duo was born - Ron used Toto as a front to get back to doing what he loved the most, whereas Toto publicly got credit for Ron's work.

As the season progressed, Ron and Toto became a great team, as they continued to take on and solve small but difficult cases. At the end of season 1 however, Ron and Toto tackled a bigger mystery including a missing family member, which hinted at a much deeper mystery that will likely be resolved in the upcoming season.
