Solo Leveling -Reawakening anime film is set to premiere on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 8:30 am JST at the earliest in Japan. It is also worth pointing out that Crunchyroll has the rights to stream the movie online and will screen it in theaters in the United States and Canada on December 6, 2024.

This movie will serve as a recap of the events of the previous season, establishing how Sung Jinwoo went from a weak Hunter to one of the strongest in his universe. However, the biggest selling point is that this film will present the first two episodes of the second season, starting the Red Gate arc. It will also add new material to extend what was already shown in the original manhwa, which was already welcomed in the first season of the anime.

Anime enthusiasts living outside of the Asian country can rest assured because Crunchyroll has acquired the rights to globally stream the film on its platform. Fans who haven't watched the first season can watch it on Crunchyroll.

What to expect

It is worth pointing out that, as mentioned earlier, the Solo Leveling -Reawakening movie is going to have its first half covering the events of the previous seasons. This means that newcomers can go to the movie theaters or stream it for a recap of the events of this A-1 Pictures adaptation, giving them a general understanding of what the story is about.

Afterward, the story goes back to the present, with the protagonist Sung Jinwoo already having a certain handle of "The System" and the film shows the first two episodes of the second season. These two episodes will be the beginning of the Red Gate arc, which focuses on the protagonist helping Han Song-Yi, a newbie E-Rank Hunter and one of his sister's friends, to understand the dangers of hunting.

However, things go awry and they end up using a Red Gate, which is a lot more dangerous and now they have to beat the dungeon to escape. The Solo Leveling -Reawakening movie doesn't cover the entirety of the arc but serves to establish the plot and the obstacles Sung Jinwoo will have to overcome. Moreover, it was already confirmed that this movie is going to add new scenes and dialogues to extend the characterization of the cast and more.
