Life of Sung Jin Woo

Sung Jin Woo was living his life happily with his family, but things changed when his father went missing. With his father gone, he lived an ordinary life with his mother and younger sister.

Things turned for the worse when his world changed with the sudden appearance of gates to other dimensions. Monsters delve in these gates, called dungeons, and if not closed in time, the monsters get free and unleash unimaginable horrors onto the world.

Luckily for humankind, with the appearance of these gates, some chosen individuals awakened their magic powers, enabling them to fight these monsters. But for Sung Jin Woo, the world remained the same. Until his mother got ill with the disease known as “Eternal Slumber.” With his mother bedridden, the responsibility of paying his sister’s tuition and his mother’s hospital fell on his shoulders.

Sung Woo did any job he could find to make ends meet. He was losing hope when one day, he awakened. Just when he thought he could become a hunter and provide a good life for his family, he got classified as an E-rank hunter, the weakest class. Even by that standard, he was barely stronger than an ordinary human.

Every mission he went to, he got severely injured and barely made in money. He soon became recognized as the weakest hunter.

One day, while on a D-rank mission, Sung Jin Woo and his group ran into a rare phenomenon, a double dungeon. It was an anomaly that his group should have reported to the authorities, but due to their greed, they decided to clear it themselves. But they didn’t realise that they were heading towards their demise.

In the double dungeon, most of his comrades died, and some lost either the ability or their will to continue as a hunter. By some miracle, Sung Jin Woo made it out alive, and to his surprise, he had received a strange power. He can now level up and grow stronger by completing certain tasks, like a character in a video game.

With his newfound powers, Sung Jin Woo starts his journey of becoming the strongest hunter in the history of mankind and saving his world from the dangers that lie ahead.

Sung Jin Woo’s Abilities

In the double dungeon, unknown to his knowledge, Sung Jin Woo became the vessel for the Shadow Monarch, one of the Nine Monarchs in the series.

By completing the tasks presented to him, he can gain various new abilities, but most importantly, gain the power of the Shadow Monarch, Ashborn. As the chosen vessel of Ashborn, Jinwoo soon becomes the mightiest hunter in the world and a force to be reckoned with among the most powerful beings in existence.

Jinwoo wields extraordinary physical strength, capable of defeating his enemies with a single strike. His durability is unparalleled, virtually unscathed even capable of persisting against god like figures with relative ease.

If that is not overpowered enough, Jinwoo possesses healing prowess that far surpasses that of ordinary humans, with his regenerative abilities accelerating exponentially during restorative slumber.

But his most awe-inspiring ability lies in his unparalleled growth rate. With each battle, he not only strengthens himself but experiences a monumental boost in power. In just a few months of dedicated training, he ascended to become the strongest hunter in Asia.

Some of his abilities are:

  • Armor Creation

  • Stealth Mastery

  • Bloodlust Manipulation

  • Quicksilver Surge

  • Dagger Proficiency

  • Telekinesis

  • Ruler's Authority

  • Dragon's Fear

  • Shadow Manipulation
