Tower of God: Urek Mazino chapter 12 kicked off by showing Evelyn's side of the battle, where she faced a huge monster. While she decided to run away, the monster caught her and dragged her down into the water. The story swiftly shifted its focus to Urek and Danzon, who were ready to fight against each other after Urek showed up to Danzon's surprise.

As Urek was a regular and Danzon was a ranker, the 2nd-floor admin was needed to approve of the match. But first, Urek needed to press the challenge button to fight against a ranker, which he did without hesitation, surprising Danzon. As the 2nd floor administrator appeared, Urek was astounded by its sheer size. After approving the match, as the administrator was leaving, Urek stopped him.

Urek asked the administrator about what the requirements were if the former wanted to take him on, to which the administrator replied that Urek can fight any of them anytime without any specific requirements, and left. The rest of the chapter was mostly a back-and-forth between Urek and Danzon.
