Will Toshiro Hitsugaya appear in Bleach TYBW part 3? Explored

Although Bleach TYBW part 3 has released eight episodes thus far, Toshiro Hitsugaya has yet to appear in the narrative. The 10th Division Captain was last seen in the Seireitei, where he was turned into one of Giselle's zombies. Thankfully, Mayuri Kurotsuchi administered a special drug to subdue him and turned him into his own Zombie.

Since then, the series has neither shown Toshiro nor revealed his status. Moreover, with the Gotei 13 currently in Wahrwelt, the 10th Division Captain's whereabouts remain unclear. This begs the question: Will Toshiro Hitsugaya appear in Bleach TYBW part 3?

According to the manga, Toshiro Hitsugaya appears shortly after the Mayuri vs. Pernida battle. After defeating Pernida, an injured Mayuri informs Yumichika and Ikkaku that he was able to de-zombify the 10th Division Captain and others.

Toshiro appears in all his glory, albeit with a reduced lifespan, and expresses his gratitude to Mayuri. He will most likely return in episode 10 since that's the episode where Mayuri vs. Pernida's battle will conclude.

While Toshiro Hitsugaya hasn't yet appeared in Bleach TYBW part 3, his return might be imminent. In the previous installment, Giselle Gewelle demonstrated her Schrift, Z: The Zombie, to turn Toshiro into one of her Zombies, along with Rangiku, Kensei, Rose, and others.

Giselle robbed Toshiro of his free will, turning him into her minion. That's when Mayuri Kurotsuchi entered the battlefield. The 12th Division Captain administered a special medicine to cast Toshiro into an eternal loop, from which he couldn't break out unless he stopped trying to kill Mayuri.

Eventually, Mayuri Kurostuchi impaled Toshiro with his Zanpakuto and released his Shikai, Ashisogi Jizo, to paralyze him. Following that, the 12th Division Captain injected another drug into Toshiro, causing him extreme discomfort. It was later revealed that the drug allowed Mayuri to free the Captain from Giselle's control and make him one of his Zombies.

Since then, the series hasn't given an update on Toshiro Hitsugaya's fate. That's why many fans wonder what happened to Toshiro and whether he will appear in Bleach TYBW part 3. As mentioned earlier, the chances of Toshiro appearing this ongoing season are more than likely.

In the manga, Toshiro Hitsugaya returns to the narrative after Mayuri's battle against Pernida in chapter 644. Following his victory over Pernida, Mayuri Kurotsuchi, in an injured state, reveals to Ikkaku and Yumichika to retrieve two container capsules that Nemu brought to Wahrwelt along with her.

Inside those containers are Toshiro and Rangiku, whom Mayuri managed to de-zombify, albeit at the cost of a shortened lifespan. The 12th Division Captain asks Ikkaku and Madarame to secure the containers and press a red switch to open them. Once open, Toshiro awakens from his slumber and expresses his heartfelt gratitude to Mayuri.

Interestingly, the ongoing Bleach TYBW part 3 has been covering the Mayuri vs. Pernida battle. The battle will likely conclude in episode 10 since episode 9 is reserved for Shunsui Kyoraku's battle against Lille Barro. Therefore, fans won't have to wait long to see the 10th Division Captain back in action.

After recovering, Toshiro Hitsugaya will take on Gerald Valkyre, along with Zaraki Kenpachi and Byakuya Kuchiki, where he will demonstrate his Bankai's actual ability. It remains to be seen whether Pierrot Films will come up with some anime original scenes for Hitsugaya.
