The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is represented by the Arkansas Razorbacks men's basketball team in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The Razorbacks are a top-25 program all-time in terms of winning percentage (.641), top-20 program in terms of NCAA tournament games played, top-20 program in terms of NCAA tournament games won, top-15 program in terms of Final Four appearances, and, despite playing significantly fewer seasons than most major conference programs, top-30 in terms of all-time wins.


The Hogs, coached by Nolan Richardson, defeated Duke to win the national championship in 1994. The following year, they made it to the final game but came in second place. Six NCAA Final Four appearances have been made by the Razorbacks in 1941, 1945, 1978, 1990, 1994, and 1995.

Assistant Coaches

Eric Musselman, the head coach of Arkansas, revealed that the Razorback basketball staff will be reorganised in accordance with new NCAA regulations that took effect in July 2023. Basketball teams are now permitted to have five assistant coaches for on-court coaching during practices and games.


This is Michael Musselman's fifth season at Arkansas. In addition to his role as assistant director of basketball operations for the 2020–21 season, he began his tenure with the Razorbacks as director of recruitment.


For the 2022–23 season, he was elevated to director of basketball operations. In his tenure, Arkansas has turned to two recruiting classes ranked in the top five, featuring players like Jordan Walsh, Moses Moody, Jaylin Williams, Davonte Davis, Anthony Black, Nick Smith Jr., and incoming McDonald's All-American Baye Fall.


Todd Lee is a second-year student at Arkansas who assisted the head coach last season as well as the director of scouting. The coaching relationship between Lee and Musselman dates back over three decades, to the time Lee was the CBA's Rapid City Thrillers' assistant coach.


Starting his third season on the Arkansas staff, Ronnie Brewer Jr., a Razorback All-American and 2006 NBA Lottery pick, has been the recruiting coordinator since the 2020–21 campaign.
