
Reece Beekman is a professional basketball guard for the Santa Cruz Warriors, affiliated with Golden State Warriors, in the NBA's G-League. After going undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, Beekman signed a two-way contract with the Warriors in July 2024. Before declaring for the Draft, Beekman played his collegiate career with the Virginia Cavaliers from 2020-2024.
From 2017–20, Beekman played for Scotlandville Magnet High School under head coach, Carlos Sample. During his senior season, he averaged 19.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, 9.9 assists, 2.7 blocked shots, and 2.2 steals, earning him the title of Louisiana Mr. Basketball. Beekman had 21 offers during this recruitment process, including from USC, Florida, LSU, and Wisconsin. Beekman gave an unexpected commitment to Virginia on June 13, 2019. In 2020, Beekman enrolled at UVA on August 1. Beekman shot 38.2% from the field and averaged 4.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and three assists as a freshman. He was selected to the ACC All-Defensive Team and Honorable Mention All-ACC as a sophomore.
