Todd Golden Family

Todd Raymond Golden, born on July 7, 1985, in Phoenix, Arizona, is the head coach of the Florida Gators men's basketball team, as of March 2025. Golden attended Sunnyslope High School, where he played baseball and basketball. He also assisted Sunnyslope in winning the 4A state basketball championship in 2002. Golden began his college career playing as a guard for the Saint Mary's Gaels from 2004 to 2008 after enrolling at Saint Mary's College of California in 2003. During his career, the Gaels would participate in the NCAA Tournament in 2005 and 2008.

Golden started his coaching career in 2013 when he joined as an assistant coach under Kyle Smith at Columbia University. After that, he spent two seasons as an assistant coach under Bruce Pearl at Auburn University, as per his USF profile. Golden was given his first head coaching job at the University of San Francisco on April 1, 2019. He spent three seasons as the Dons head coach and led them to their first NCAA tournament berth since 1988. His overall coaching record with the Dons was 57-36, as per Sports Reference.
