Babar Azam is the present captain of Pakistan men’s national team in all three formats of international cricket and he is often deemed as the best batter not just in Pakistan but the entire world in modern-day cricket. It could be said that Babar is the undisputed batting icon and one of the highest-ranked players Pakistan has produced in the annals of its cricket history. The total number of Babar Azam centuries in international cricket is 31 at the moment and he is expected to break several records on the back of his century-scoring streak.

Babar Azam has scored nine centuries in the longest format of the game. Babar Azam has scored 3772 runs in 49 Test matches at an average of 47.74 with nine Test hundreds and 26 half-centuries in the longest format. He played a gritty knock of 196 against Australia in the Karachi Test as Pakistan forced a draw on day five.

Out of his nine Test centuries, the Pakistan batter has brought up three against Sri Lanka, two against Australia and New Zealand, and one each versus Bangladesh and England.

Babar Azam centuries - ODI

Babar Azam Century numbers in ODIs is 19. Babar Azam has scored 5353 runs in 104 One-Day Internationals with an average of 59.47.Besides nineteen hundreds, Azam has also smashed twenty-eight half centuries for Pakistan in ODIs.

Babar Azam became the fastest batter to reach 15 ODI hundreds in 83 innings, he went past former South Africa batter Hashim Amla. Babar is also the second fastest batter to complete 4000 ODI runs, his feat in 82 innings fell one short of Amla who took 81 innings to achieve the same score.

After the Pakistan skipper slammed his 17th ODI century against West Indies in June 2022, he became the first ODI batter to hit three consecutive tons on two separate occasions. Babar’s 103 against West Indies came after his 114 and 105* against Australia earlier in the year. Babar’s first three hundreds were scored on the trot against the West Indies in 2016.

Babar Azam centuries- T20I

Babar Centuries number in the shorter format of the game is 3. He has scored 3485 runs in 104 T20I innings at a strike rate of 129.88 and is the fourth-highest run-scorer overall in T20Is behind Martin Guptill (3531), Rohit Sharma (3853), and Virat Kohli (4008) . Babar is the only Pakistani player to score more than one century in T20Is.
