The former Australian skipper, the captain of the invincible Aussies with two World Cups under his belt, Ponting holds the record for most runs as well as the most hundreds for his side. In 289 innings from 168 matches, Ponting scored 41 hundreds, and took 7.04 innings per hundred.

He is followed by his predecessor Steve Waugh and former opener Mathew Hayden. Waugh has 32 hundreds with a rate of 8.12 innings per ton while Hayden scored 30 hundreds at 6.13 innings per century.

One of Pakistan's most dependable batsmen, Younis Khan has the most hundreds for his nation. Not only that, he also is the only Pakistan batsman to cross the 10,000-run mark. He has 34 hundreds to his name from a total of 213 innings, which is 6.26 innings per hundred. He was the skipper of the Pakistan team which won the 2009 World T20.

He is followed by former skippers Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Yousuf with 25 and 24 hundreds respectively. Inzamam scored his tons at 7.92 innings per hundred while Yousuf had a rate of 6.5 innings per hundred.
