Stats: Most Test hundreds by a cricketer for each country

West Indies: Brian Lara

The only batsman to have scored a 400 in Test cricket, Brian Charles Lara is a legend of the game and was one of the best batsmen of his generation. Having made his debut in 1990, he scored 11953 runs in 131 matches at an average of 52.88 with 48 half centuries and 34 centuries to his name.

He made his debut against Pakistan in 1990 in Lahore and broke Gary Sobers’s record of the most number of Test centuries scored by a West Indian against South Africa in 2005 where he scored 196 in the first innings of a Test which the Proteas won.

Zimbabwe: Andy Flower

The elder of the two Flower brothers, Andy was one of the very few batsmen from Zimbabwe to show consistency in his batting performances. He amassed 4794 runs in 63 matches at an average of 51.54 with 12 centuries and 27 half-centuries to his name.

He made his debut against India in 1992 and scored a half-century in the match. He scored his first Test century against India in 1993 and broke Dave Houghton’s record of the most number of Test centuries scored by a batsman from Zimbabwe against Pakistan in 1998.
