With the debut of Battlefield 2042's Crimson Front Event in Season 7, players now have access to the Frontline game mode. An iteration of the age-old mode from Battlefield 1 and Battlefield 5, Frontline will feature an intense 20v20 team deathmatch style game mode where each player will ultimately be left to fend for themselves.

The developer has confirmed that all ground warfare will be the prime source of combat and no aerial artillery will interfere in this battle for power.

Destroy all M-COMS on the ground.

The fan-favorite Frontline mode will be played across a series of four maps, namely;

Haven
Reclaimed
Discarded
Redacted

This game mode will rotate between the four maps mentioned above. With every new map, players will have to devise new strategies and improvise around the available cover and map design.

The map rotations will keep the mode feeling fresh and promote communication among FPS gamers to come out with the best starts to win a match.

The Crismon Front Event in Battlefield 2042 will launch a series of free rewards in the game. These include:

Fractures – Rare Player Card Tag (20 Ribbons)
Blood Lotus – Epic Weapon Charm (40 Ribbons)
Skull Curator – Epic DXR-1 Skin (60 Ribbons)
Crimson Oath – Epic Boris Skin (100 Ribbons)

You can unlock these free rewards by playing through the Frontline game mode by yourself or with your friends and collecting 'Ribbons', the free event reward currency. As you collect ample Ribbons, you'll be able to cash them for any of the rewards mentioned above.
