Hunting and collecting crafting materials in Elden Ring is part of every player’s to-do list, given the large map of the game. Some are handy, while others are admittedly useless or too niche for the average user.

Crafting generally extends to creating consumables, including projectile items like arrows. And, depending on the item, players can gleam what a given crafting material is used for, based on its description.

Fulgurbloom is a great example. Simply put, it is a flower in the Lands Between that has been invigorated by lightning strikes. Items such as these, when used for crafting, usually lend themselves to creating new items of the same element.

According to its item description, “traces of lightning’s essence” are interwoven into the flower. Most importantly, Fulgurbloom is used as a crafting material for numerous items that are particularly useful.

With Fulgurbloom, you can craft these items in Elden Ring:

  • Lightning Grease
  • Drawstring Lightning Grease
  • Lightningbone Bolt
  • Lightningbone Arrow
  • Lightningbone Arrow (Fletched)

Essentially, these items are important for different builds in Elden Ring. Arrows and bolts are ideal for ranged builds, whereas grease is best for melee builds. In both cases, lightning damage is added to your attacks, which can be incredibly helpful against enemies weak to it.

For grease-related items, you will need Root Resin, Fulgurbloom, and String. The arrows and bolts are crafted from Fulgurbloom, Thin Beast Bones, and a Flight Pinion. However, to craft any of these items, pick up the Ancient Dragon Apostle’s Cookbook (1) in Wyndham Catacombs.

Where is Fulgurbloom found in Elden Ring?

As per the description in Elden Ring, Fulgurbloom “grows in lightning-struck lands.” While that is admittedly vague, there are two locations where this applies: Stormhill and the Weeping Peninsula.

Check out Elden Ring PS4 here.

Head northeast from Gatefront Ruins in Stormhill. There’s a large field between Gatefront Ruins and the nearby river. Lightning strikes the ground, largely in areas where Fulgurbloom is located. Ride by with Torrent, taking care not to be struck by lightning, and pick it up from the ground.

Fulgurbloom can also be looted from soldiers in Leyndell, Royal Capital. If you prefer this method, eating Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot beforehand will increase Discovery, which improves the chances of enemies dropping items.

And if you wish to double-dip, eat a Gold-Pickled Fowl Foot to increase the number of Runes received, since you will be defeating enemies anyways.
