Chelsea broke their own previous record for the most number of players out on loan. Matt Miazga was loaned out to Vitesse becoming the 38th player to leave the club on a temporary basis.

Chelsea holds the record for the most number of outbound players at any club. This summer, 27 players left the club either on a permanent or temporary basis.
