AC Milan won race with a host of European after the club signed the talented 21 year old Brazilian, Lucas Paqueta from Flamengo for a hefty 35 million euros. Paqueta is a left footed attacking midfielder who has been giving eye-catching performances for the Brazilian club and was linked with a top European club for quite some time now.

As for AC Milan, they were having another disappointing season as their inconsistency has cost them several times this season. One of the primary reasons for this was that there was no player who was able to bring creativity in the midfield and give good service to their attacker. Rightly so, Milan decided to spend big bucks on this young player to solve this problem and from his appearances so far, he looks like the right man. He has provided the much needed spark from the midfield and that has coincided with Milan picking up victories against teams like Napoli, Sampdoria and Genoa since his arrival

Naturally, he hasn't fully settled but with time, he will only improve and he already looks like a great signing for the Rossenori.

#2 Krzysztof Piatek to AC Milan: €35 million Euros

Another AC Milan player on the list! Milan completed a brilliant deal to sign one of the breakthrough players of the season following Higuain's departure to Chelsea. Milan signed the 23-year-old Polish international again for 35 million euros from Genoa.

Piatek has seen his fortunes change in a span of 6 months as he had moved to Genoa in the summer transfer window itself from a Polish club, Cracovia Krakow. At Genoa, he was in an incredible scoring touch as he scored 13 goals from 19 appearances and is the fourth highest goal scorer in Serie A only behind 3 goals from the top scorer, Fabio Quagliarella and ahead of mercurial strikers like Icardi, Immobile and Mandzukic. His sensational form earned him a move to Milan and he has started excellently as well scoring a brace against Napoli on his first start for the club. The club has already forgotten Higuain because of this man's sensational start.

All in all, he looks like a great signing and considering he is only 23 and yet to hit his prime, this transfer is destined to look a bargain in the coming years.

We will cap off this article with the most expensive signing of the winter transfer window: Leandro Paredes. The 24-year-old Ex-Roma man was signed from the Russian club, Zenit, by the French giants for a whopping 45 million euros amid their midfield crisis.

Paredes is an Argentinian midfielder who has been in an excellent form for the Russian club since last two years. Paredes' statistics like 53.5 passes per game, 2.1 key passes per game and 1.3 tackles per game show what a brilliant all-round midfielder he is. Meanwhile, PSG are in a huge midfield crisis with Marco Verratti with a long-term injury and Adrien Rabiot suspended for his actions which only leaves an attack-minded Julian Draxler as their and a makeshift Dani Alves in their midfield personnel.

As a result, the Parisians were linked with several midfielders like Idrissa Gueye of Everton, Abdoulaye Doucoure of Watford and so on. They finally succeeded in signing the young Argentinian. With the busy second half of the season started, the signing of Paredes is very important for PSG and their quest to win the Champions League.

To sum up, Paredes looks like a great signing for the French giants and will surely be a crucial player for Tuchel's men for the remainder of the season.
