The exciting January transfer window is about to come to a close in the next few days. Some of the clubs have already ruled out making any new signings before the transfer window closes, while some clubs will be trying to complete signings of their transfer targets before the deadline.

A good January transfer window gives clubs an edge over the others for the remainder of the season and thus many clubs will look to strengthen their respective squads in the next few days.

Gonzalo Higuain to Chelsea, Frenkie De Jong to Barcelona, Piatek to A.C Milan and Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid are some of the high profile transfers that have already been completed in the current window. With only a few days remaining in the window, many other transfers also also likely to take place.

Here is a look at the top 3 transfers that are likely to take place before the January transfer window closes down.

#1 Alvaro Morata (from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid)

Chelsea v Nottingham Forest - FA Cup Third Round

Alvaro Morata arrived in England last year with a lot of promise, but the Spanish striker has been a major flop since then. He started his Chelsea career with a bang, but gradually his form faded and he was never able to come good for Chelsea. The change in manager hasn't helped Morata either.

Morata is looking to leave the hard times behind and looks set to move to the Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid. According to reports, Morata will join Atletico on loan with an option to buy for 44 million Euros.

He started his youth career in the Atletico Madrid academy and would hope that the familiar conditions would help him recover his lost mojo. The Spanish striker will benefit from playing in his home country and in a more stable team than Chelsea.

#2 Leandro Paredes (from Zenit St. Petersburg to PSG)

Leandro Paredes has been on the radar of many European clubs since the time he has started performing consistently for Zenit and now, it looks like Paredes will finally move to a big European club. Throughout the window, there has been news that Paredes is the number one target for Chelsea, but in the past few days, PSG has stepped up its pursuit for the Argentine.

According to reports, Paredes will sign for PSG from Zenit for 40 million Euros. PSG have been struggling in the midfield area with the departure of Motta and the injury to Marco Verratti, and Paredes will provide them with some much-needed depth in the midfield.

PSG are also set to lose midfielder Rabiot on a free transfer in the summer and thus Paredes will come in as a direct replacement for the Frenchman.

Callum Hudson Odoi has been one of the talented players that has come through the Chelsea ranks in the recent times. He has been watched by many different European clubs for quite some time now. Any club would want to have a player like Hudson Odoi in their ranks with the potential he has shown and if reports are to be believed, Bayern Munich is very interested in the youngster.

Bayern Munich have already had 3 bids rejected from Chelsea but are not expected to slow down their pursuit for the winger. The Bavarians see Hudson Odoi has a long term replacement for Arjen Robben and want the transfer to be completed as soon as possible.

According to reports, Hudson Odoi is equally desperate for the move as well and has put in an official transfer request at the club to allow him to leave for the German giants. With all parties interested, this deal looks more and more likely to be completed before the window closes.
