Can Callum Wilson hit 20 PL goals for the season
Can Callum Wilson hit 20 PL goals for the season?

The penultimate FPL Gameweek of the 22-23 PL season is upon us. It's yet another Double Gameweek, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Brighton and Chelsea playing twice.

DGW 36 was a disappointing one for my team. Not owning Callum Wilson hurt my chances of getting a green arrow, as I dropped out of the top one million FPL managers once again. A brace of assists from my captain Kieran Trippier and a haul for Pervis Estupinan helped me avoid a bigger slide.

Ilkay Gundogan, Luke Shaw and Callum Wilson are among the most transferred-in FPL assets heading into this Gameweek, with Gundogan and Wilson hauling big in recent GWs.

Whatever moves you make for your FPL team, ensure your side is locked in ahead of the deadline at 11:00 am BST on Saturday.

Gameweek 37 Deadline: Saturday, May 20; 11:00 am (BST)/ 03:30 pm (IST)

FPL Gameweek 37 Fixtures

GW 37 begins with Spurs' home clash against Brentford on Saturday afternoon. Manchester United play away against Bournemouth, while Liverpool take on Aston Villa at Anfield in two crucial games for the top 4 in simultaneous 03:00 pm BST kick-offs.

Manchester City face off with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening in a game where they could win the title. The 'Double' fixtures begin on Wednesday night, with Brighton hosting Manchester City. Manchester United and Chelsea meet at Old Trafford in the final game of DGW 37.

Midfielders: Mohamed Salah (LIV) (£12.9 m), Alexis Mac Allister (BHA) (£5.6 m), Andreas Pereira (FUL) (£4.3 m), Bruno Fernandes (MUN) (£9.4 m), Jack Grealish (MCI) (£7.1 m)

Transfers

1) Harry Kane (TOT) (FWD) (£11.4 m) - OUT | Erling Haaland (FWD) (MCI) (£12.4m) - IN

2) Kepa Arrizabalaga (CHE) (GK) (£4.6 m) - OUT | David de Gea (MUN) (GK) (£5.1 m) - IN

I have spent most of the season without Erling Haaland in the team, but dropping him for this DGW considering his ownership and backing wouldn't be the wisest move. Taking Harry Kane out does hurt as a Spurs fan, though.

Manchester United have been defensively solid for most of the season, and David de Gea is the undoubted No.1, at least till the end of this season. He's likely to secure at least one shutout in this DGW.

Best FPL Team for Gameweek 37

Gameweek 37 Bench: Sam Johnstone (CRY) vs FUL (A), Fabian Schar (NEW) vs LEI (H), Tyrone Mings (AVL) vs LIV (A), Andreas Pereira (FUL) vs CRY (H)

While I'm not overly confident of my chances this week, I do have seven DGW players this week, with three of them from Manchester City. Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish should get plenty of attacking returns between them.

Bruno Fernandes is the ace up my sleeve this week, and how he fares will determine where I finish this season. De Gea is the other Manchester United asset in my team. Pervis Estupinan and Alexis Mac Allister are also reliable FPL picks from Brighton, who have two home fixtures this week.

It may be too much to expect an FPL haul from Pedro Porro, but with Brentford missing Ivan Toney, I'm hoping Spurs put in a solid defensive performance in front of home fans. Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak and a yellow-flagged Kieran Trippier are the other single-fixture FPL assets on my team, and all three of them have good-looking home fixtures this week.

Gameweek 37 - FPL Captaincy

The only way I'm making up any ground this season is by making some differential captaincy decisions and handing the armband to Bruno Fernandes when Manchester United take on Bournemouth and Chelsea is the best alternative I have.

How he has only three attacking returns in the last 11 games is a mystery to me, as his underlying stats have been stellar. He has one of the best FPL differentials this week, and I'm very likely to make him my captain despite Haaland's presence in the team.
