Goalscorers are among the most important people in football, and with most of the leagues underway here is as list of the top 10 goalscorers in the top five leagues in Europe, as Squawka listed them. The top leagues consist of the Premier League, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A, and La Liga.

While players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi are expected to top the list at the end of the season, this year it is Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller is the player who has taken the early lead. The German forward has managed to score six goals for the Bavarians this season, and it doesn’t seem like he will be slowing down anytime soon.

The second place on the list is taken by another player from the German league, Borrusia Dortmund’s speedster Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang made it into the list after scoring five goals for the team. The player has been a crucial part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad and has helped Dortmund return to the top. Dortmund are currently on top of Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga table, because of their superior goal difference.

Cristiano Ronaldo made it to the top three after his brilliant performance against Espanyol. The Portuguese winger scored five goals in one game reached the third place.

Sampdoria striker Éder Citadin Martins is the only Serie A player to make it into the list after scoring five goals for them. The player has scored more than half of the teams goals, en route their push to reach third place in the Serie A table.

The Premier League though has provided the most surprising result, as none of the high-profile players have made it into the list. The players who are there, are Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson, Swansea’s Bafetembi Gomis, and Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez. All three of them have scored four goals each.

From the Ligue 1 Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s teammate Edinson Cavani, and Olympique Lyonnais striker Nabil Fekir has made it into the list.

It is a surprise though that no one from Inter Milan and Manchester City are on the list as they have scored the most number of goals in their leagues respectively.
