Gonzalo Higuain’s proposed move to Juventus is under threat

Welcome to our daily transfer round-up. Few very big signings could take place in the coming weeks. Manchester City have opened negotiations to sign a German national team star. Chelsea star has informed the club that he wants to leave Stamford Bridge.

Agent of Serie A ace has confirmed Liverpool are interested in his client, whilst Real Madrid have put a price tag of €80m on one of their players.

Here are the transfer rumours doing the rounds on July 16th:


Serie A

– Watford are on the verge of signing Napoli star Juan Camilo Zúñiga on a free transfer, reports Gianluca di Marzio. The player has agreed to sign a three-year contract.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli don’t want to sell Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus and have proposed a new contract. Higuain has been offered €7.5m/year, but the Old Lady are also looking at alternatives.

– Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski is expected to leave the club this summer. His agent, Bartolomej Bolek, has confirmed to Gazzetta dello Sport that Liverpool are interested in signing the player.

According to AS, Diego Costa has informed Chelsea he wants to leave the club this summer. The player has directly told this to Roman Abramovich and Antonio Conte that he wants to return to Atletico Madrid.

– Manchester City have opened negotiations to sign Leroy Sane, reports Bild. Manchester City’s initial offer is too low, and Schalke reportedly want €50m for the player. Pep Guardiola is keen on signing the youngster and the financial terms shouldn’t be an issue.

– Dimitri Payet’s agent, Jacques Olivier Auguste, has revealed the Frenchman could leave West Ham this summer should he receive an important offer in the coming weeks, despite him signing a new contract recently.

– Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic is close to sealing his move to Middlesbrough. A deal could be announced soon, according to Talk Sport. A fee of £9m has been agreed between the two clubs.

La Liga

James Rodriguez
James Rodriguez has been linked with a shock move to West Ham United

According to Marca, Real Madrid could allow Colombian star James Rodriguez to leave the club this summer for at least €80m. Manchester United are leading the race to sign him, whilst Chelsea and West Ham could also offer big money.

– Jose Mourinho has decided to offload Marcos Rojo this summer. Villareal are interested in the Argentine, but economic terms of the deal could be a problem, reports Marca.

– Valencia haven’t yet agreed a deal for Alvaro Negredo with Middlesbrough, reports Super Deporte. Negredo is waiting for both parties to confirm his departure from the La Liga club.

Ondrej Duda has been linked with a move to Hertha Berlin

Slovakian international Ondrej Duda is attracting interest from Hertha. According to German newspaper Bild, talks are ongoing between Hertha and Legia Warsaw. The player was also linked to Arsenal, West Ham and Manchester United.

According to Talk Sport, Newcastle haven’t received any bids for Georginio Wijnaldum and Moussa Sissoko. Both the players have been linked with a move away from St. James’ Park.
