UEFA Champions League 2015/16 quarter-final predictions

Will Barcelon become the first team to defend the Champions League title?

#2 Paris Saint-Germain vs Manchester City

Paris Saint-Germain will look to finally break into the top four this season

The Parisians won the Ligue 1 title in record time thanks to the efforts of charismatic striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and captain fantastic, Thiago Silva yet they now face their most daunting task of the season – the final few rounds of the Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain haven't been a force to reckon with in the Champions League these past seasons but this time around have a squad capable of taking the fight to the best of teams. With the addition of Angel di Maria, Laurent Blanc's men finally have a player capable of playing in the hole comfortably. Edison Cavani, Lucas Moura and Blaise Matuidi have been splendid for the club this season and will look to punish the rather weak defending Manchester City have put up.

Speaking of the Citizens, currently fourth on the Premier League table, City have also had a poor season given plenty of their players have been injured at some point or the other. Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Kevin de Bruyne have all been injured for long spells but now that they're back, are capable of properly challenging the Parisians in the hunt for the most prestigious European trophy.

While City have the ability to score goals, the Parisian defence has been sublime this season and their counter-attacking pace is almost frightening giving them the upper hand in this fixture.

Prediction: (On final aggregate) 5-3 to Paris Saint-Germain.
