Blitz Royale is a new 32-player Battle Royale mode with new gameplay every match and frequent updates. Victory can be yours in five minutes or less, perfect if you're in a hurry and want to play a while on your phone. It's the perfect mode to play between activities.
Unlike traditional BR, all opponents start with the same random Medallion or unique weapon on a small map. This evens the odds for everyone and ensures a balanced start; as such, skill is going to be your only upper hand.
As you eliminate opponents and survive Storm Circles, your Blitz Level increases. As you level up, you'll get powerful weapons and power-ups. You can loot Golden Chests for even more power-ups and Golden Supply Drops for even more Medallions. This will tip the scale in your favour by a huge margin.
But to keep things fair, in Fortnite Blitz Royale, Medallions don’t show your location on the map. This means everyone will be hidden from sight, unless spotted. Unlike traditional BR, they won’t drop from enemies either. You won't be able to stack Medallions.
Blitz Royale will be available until July 15, 2025, and may return at a later date with refreshed gameplay, maps, and rewards. However, in the meantime, there are four action-packed weeks for you to experiment. Each will have a unique theme and loot for you to make use of. Here' the list:
June 18: Week 1 - Launch Week! Find new Mythic versions of popular weapons, like the Rocket Ram, in the rare Golden Llama.
June 24: Week 2 - The Avatar Returns! Pagodas from the Four Nations appear on the map, and players start with a Bending Scroll from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
July 1: Week 3 - Bad Bosses! Replacing Bending Scrolls are power-packed boss weapons like Thorne’s Vampiric Blade and the new Blitz Chain of Hades.
July 8: Week 4 - TMNT Melee Mayhem! Replacing boss items are melee weapons from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, plus Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists, the Mythic Typhoon Blade, Blitz Kneecapper, and more.
Fortnite Blitz Royale will go live on June 18, 2025, and if you decide to play, you can get the Blitz Knight (Outfit) and Blitz Brella (Glider) for free as a token of appreciation.
