Fortnite: How to slide for 30 meters continuously while holding a chicken

One of the more entertaining challenges for Avian Ambush Week in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 is for players to slide while holding a chicken. A total of 30 meters has to be covered for the task to be completed.

As strange as the task may seem, completing it is relatively easy and will yield 20,000 XP upon completion. With Chapter 3 coming to an end, this is the best way to increase the seasonal level in-game and unlock all Battle Pass rewards.

A step-by-step guide on how to slide for 30 meters continuously while holding a chicken in Fortnite

1) Land at Rave Cave, Lustrous Lagoon, or Fort Jonesy

The first step towards completing this challenge is to land at Rave Cave, Lustrous Lagoon, or Fort Jonesy. These locations are ideal for the task that lies ahead as they have uneven terrain in and around the area. This will make sliding 30 meters a breeze.

Additionally, since chickens spawn next to these POIs, it'll make completing the task more streamlined and straightforward. Players will not have to search far and wide to find one.

2) Loot for supplies and secure the area

Once on the ground, players should not waste time and find gear as soon as possible. For those who land at Rave Cave, there's enough gear within to arm a full in-game squad.

Those who choose Lustrous Lagoon or Fort Jonesy will have to work fast to secure the best gear. If players run into any resistance at Rave Cave or Fort Jonesy, they can always spend some gold bars to hire NPCs to fight for them.

Although they aren't very effective in long-term combat, they will be able to hold off opponents with ease during the early-game phase of the match. With a bit of luck, they may be able to eliminate opponents as well.

3) Find a chicken and head towards the slope

After gearing up, the next thing to do is venture forth and look for chickens. For those at Rave Cave, one can be found north and south of the POI. For those at Lustrous Lagoon, there are six spawn locations on the western side of the POI. Lastly, for those at Fort Jonesy, one chicken can be found north of the POI.

Once a chicken has been grabbed, players will next have to find a slope or steep hill from which to begin sliding. Given that these locations are surrounded by uneven terrain, this task will be all too easy to do.

4) Mark the distance to check if it meets the requirements and slide

If players are unsure of how far they have to slide, they can always use the marking feature to note the distance from their position. However, for players who are confident that they can slide 30 meters or more without marking, there's no need to follow this step.

They can begin walking downhill and press the crouch/slide button to begin sliding. After a few seconds, a prompt will appear labeling the challenge as complete. If it does not appear, players may have to redo it again.
