Fortnite update v22.30 and downtime are underway, and there are a few interesting content changes coming to the game. While not all of these changes will be added immediately, they will go live soon.
One of the highlights of Fortnite update v22.30 is the unvaulting of the X-4 Stormwing (planes). Not to be undermined by the presence of this metallic bird of prey, the arrival of Star Wars characters is another anticipated event.

1) Unvaulting of X-4 Stormwing

X-4 Stormwing (planes) were supposed to be unvaulted last week, but things got delayed. Based on speculation, it was likely that Epic Games was waiting for the collaboration with Polo to begin before adding them back to the loot pool.
X-4 Stormwing will likely be unvaulted and added back to the game today. They will spawn from the three runway platforms located on the map. Hopefully, Epic Games will add more spawn locations as the season progresses.
2) The Herald has arrived
Players, more specifically Battle Pass holders, will finally be able to cosplay as The Herald in Chapter 3 Season 4. Her cosmetics will soon become available in-game. However, much like the other Secret skins before her, players must first unlock the cosmetics to use them.
Based on the leaks coming out of the Fortnite update v22.30, she's said to have a fiery style. This is a stark contrast to all the super-styles that have been showcased this season.
3) Chrome Punk (Outfit)
There's finally an update regarding the Chrome Punk skin, and it's a happy one.
According to HYPEX, the quests related to the skins will only go live after the downtime ends today. They will be valid until January 1, 2023. This means that players will have roughly two whole months to obtain the skin. This also means that some elements of Chrome may seep into the next season as well.
4) Star Wars collaboration, again
It's no surprise that yet another Star Wars collaboration has come through in-game. However, this time around, fans are beyond elevated about the content. Han Solo, Leia Organa, and Luke Skywalker will finally join their rebellious friends in the metaverse.
According to leakers, the cosmetics will be available in the item shop after the downtime ends. Spoiler alert: R2-D2 is now a wearable back bling. Additionally, based on the collaboration trailers, it's likely that, along with Lightsabers, other Star Wars-related items will be unvaulted today as well.
Speaking of Lightsabers and characters, Darth Vader is being added back to the island as well as a Boss NPC. Players will be able to defeat him in combat to obtain his Red Lightsaber in-game.
5) Chapter 3 Season 4 end date confirmed
As per information obtained by leaker ShiinaBR during the Fortnite update v22.30, Chapter 3 Season 4 will end on December 3, 2022. There will be a 12-hour downtime period, following which the servers will be back online Sunday morning, December 4, 2022.
The theme and storyline for the next phase are largely unknown. With Chrome still consuming the island and a month left for The Paradigm to make her return, a lot of things can happen.
6) The Nothing
This entity has long eluded theorists and leakers alike. Based on speculation, this being, or whatever it is, controls Chrome and has influence over various characters that make up The Last Reality.
Based on a new string found in Fortnite update v22.30, developers are once again providing hints about this entity. While they don't say much, it's likely a build-up toward a grand reveal.
7) Midas: Silver and Gold
Another hint at Midas' return has been spotted during the Fortnite update v22.30. Although it's just a spray, the image says it all.
It's rather concerning to see Midas' hand being consumed by Chrome. Does this imply that a Chrome version of him will be added to the game, or does it mean that'll be consumed by Chrome as well?
For the time being, there are no answers available. More information about the character should be revealed as Chapter 3 Season 4 draws to a close.
8) Supply Drop Radio
Discovered by HYPEX during the Fortnite update v22.30, a new item called Supply Drop Radio will be added to the game soon. Players will be able to use it to call in "Vehicle," "Health," or "Normal" Supply Drop.
At the moment, the former two can be confirmed as functional. However, the latter cannot be confirmed as of yet. Epic Games will likely release a blog at a later date containing more information about the same.
