Fortnite is well-known for featuring some of the most outrageous collaborations in the gaming industry. Multiple fictional characters, ranging from Superman to Goku, are now part of Epic Games' metaverse, which is only growing larger with the passage of time. What started as a simple Rift in the sky above the island has opened up gateways to countless realities.

Due to this, characters from other dimensions and timelines become part of the larger picture. Speaking of timelines, the community has unanimously agreed that Back to The Future would make for a perfect in-game collaboration after seeing a fan-made concept about it.

Last week, Reddit user Jtneagle created a simple concept for a Back to the Future collaboration in Fortnite. It features some amazing elements and assets that exist in the Back to the Future franchise being added to the popular battle royale game.

To start off, the Driftboard that was introduced in Chapter 1 Season 7 could be retextured into a Hoverboard to better suit the collaboration. Considering that a similar item hasn't been seen in-game since the end of Fortnite Chapter 1, it would certainly generate plenty of hype.

Moving on to POIs and locations, similar to how the Daily Bugle was added to the island in Chapter 3 (for the Spider-Man collaboration), the fictional town of Hill Valley could be added to the map for a potential Back to the Future collaboration.

Considering that Epic Games has created major town-like POIs such as Pleasant Park, Misty Meadows, and Retail Row, Hill Valley will be a breeze in comparison. It would add a lot of value to the collaboration and keep players interested for a long time.

Speaking of hype, the Whiplash vehicle that's available in-game can be retextured into the DeLorean Time Machine. While this may sound impossible, given that Whiplash was retextured to look like a Ferrari 296 GTB during the collaboration, creating the DeLorean from Back to the Future would be a possibility.

Last but not least, a collaboration would be nothing without cosmetics. That said, Reddit user Jtneagle has made sure to add a few. To start with, the iconic DeLorean Time Machine will be featured as a Glider. There will be a Harvesting Tool called the Slugger 2000 Pickaxe, and of course, the Power of Love emote.

In addition to these, there will be two skins for the protagonists, Dr. Emmett Brown and Marty McFly. Each of these skins will have three styles for three different time periods (1885, 1985, and 2015). Looking at this impressive fan-made lineup, the only question is, will Epic Games ever do a collaboration with Back to the Future?

Will Epic Games ever do a Back to the Future collaboration?

Needless to say, with over 3,200 upvotes on the post, the Fortnite community clearly wants Epic Games to take this into serious consideration. However, since they do collaborations that are currently trending, this may not make the cut or see enough impressions to be considered popular.

Nevertheless, as one user pointed out, with Fortnite collaborating with cult-classic franchises such as Terminator, Alien vs. Predator, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars, there's always a chance. Considering that the Back to the Future franchise deals with time travel, paradoxes, and the very fabric of reality, it would fit perfectly into the game's storyline.

After all, if collaborations stooped in science fiction cannot be added in, where else will they go? Given that so many within the community love to doodle in things related to sci-fi, a Back to the Future collaboration would be a major success.
