Fortnite players would love for Klombos to return to the video game. These animals were available in the game for a limited time, but they haven't been seen since the release of Chapter 3 Season 2.

Fortunately, it appears that Epic Games is working on bringing Klombos back. One player recently experimented with using a Chrome Splash on a Klombo, and the result of this interaction hints that the popular animal will come back at some point.

There are many signs that indicate the return of Klombos. Due to this, we expect Epic Games to bring them back by the end of the year. The next season of the popular video game starts in early December, and this is when Epic could re-release the popular animal.

Chrome Splash is one of the most popular items in the current season of Fortnite Battle Royale. The entire season is centered around Chrome and its expansion, so it's not surprising that Epic Games released an item that allows players to chrome-ify different things.

Players who use Chrome Splashes on themselves gain a chrome form and are immune to fire damage. They can also turn into blobs, allowing them to move faster around the map and avoid fall damage.

Players can also use the item on animals, cars, structures, etc. Considering that Chrome heals things, it is possible to heal wildlife and vehicles by using Chrome Splashes on them.

Chrome Splashes react to almost everything, which is why one Fortnite player decided to test them with Klombos. Klombos are not currently in the game, but the player who tested this edited the game data and added these popular animals.

As shown in the video above, Chrome Splashes affect Klombos, which is great news for anyone who wants to see these animals return to the game. While chrome-ifying Klombos isn't something many players want to do, this interaction means that Epic Games recently updated the popular animals.

Due to this, there is a slim chance that Klombos will return to Fortnite during Chapter 3 Season 4. The next major update is v22.40, and it's scheduled to be released on Tuesday, November 15.

Will Chrome bring Klombos back?

Epic Games vaulted Klombos with the release of Chapter 3 Season 2. This made a lot of sense since the season was all about the war between The Seven and The Imagined Order. Unfortunately, players found a Klombo skull near the Behemoth bridge in Chapter 3 Season 3, indicating that Klombos died.

Chrome keeps expanding all over Fortnite island and is very close to the skull. Once it reaches the skull, there is a good chance that it will revive Klombos and bring them back to the video game.

The next Fortnite update will bring a lot of map changes, and we expect Chrome to expand even further. Considering that millions of players want Klombos to return, adding them back would be a great move by Epic Games.

There has to be a reason why Epic made Klombos react to Chrome Splashes. It is very unlikely that the development team would waste their time doing this if it wasn't for the eventual return of Klombos.
