Fortnite Blitz Royale has officially been announced by Epic Games. Based on the information at hand, while it may seem like a mobile-exclusive mode tailored for smartphones, players across all platforms will be able to access it. This is what Epic had to say:

"Blitz Royale is a new game mode available on all platforms and supports cross play, with a rogue-like design specifically crafted for mobile play. Got 5 minutes? Get a Blitz Royale in!

There's not much detailed information at hand about the mode, but we do know a few things, while others can be speculated. Here's more on Fortnite Blitz Royale and what to expect.

As for compatible devices, the mode will not be mobile-exclusive, and all regions in the EU and the USA will be able to play on iOS devices. Next up, unlike the classic Battle Royale/Zero Build modes, Blitz Royale will host only 32 players at a time. The format is unclear, but matchmaking will likely be limited to Solos and Duos, considering the player cap is rather low. Maybe Trios could work, but Squads is definitely out of the question.

As for the map, it looks to be a remix of sorts. There is no clear indication of which island this mode will be based in, and as such, we don't know which POIs will be present. One thing that can be noted is that there's a Golden Rift present on the map. It is unclear if this will have any significance in terms of gameplay.

Supply Drops will be enabled, as we can see them on the map, and we can also see the Chug Cannon in the background. We will get the full list of weapons/items/consumables soon. The only mysterious part about it all is that Blitz Royale features a "rogue-like design." We're not entirely sure what this means, but players won't have to invest a lot of time to play this mode, which is always welcoming.

Dusk Knight, an yet-to-be-released Outfit, is also visible on the left side of the image. It's possible that this one could be given out as a reward to players who try out Blitz Royale or complete certain tasks. It will also likely be listed in the Fortnite Item Shop eventually.

That's all we know about Fortnite Blitz Royale at the moment. It will go live following the update v36.10 on June 18, 2025 (Wednesday). Keep in mind that the mode on iOS is only available in select regions, so you may need to switch to Android to play. If you're on PC and/or console, there's no need to worry at all.
