Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 (Star Wars) will begin on May 2, 2025, and run until June 8, 2025. This phase of the storyline will be short, but packed to the brim with content. Five major in-game events will occur. These will be centered around different events within the Star Wars franchise, and will culminate in a live event at the end of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 (Star Wars).
Four new POIs have also been showcased, each has a distinct theme based on locations found in the Star Wars franchise. They are spread out on the four corners of the map, which will likely influence combat to a large extent. Some of these locations will feature TIE Fighters and X-wing Starfighters that players will be able to use. Dogfights are going to be a common sight in the skies above the island.
Speaking of sights, one to truly behold is Darth Jar Jar becoming canon in Fortnite and subsequently Star Wars. What started as a meme has now become fully realized as a character. Other popular characters such as Poe Dameron, General Grievous, and Darth Sidious will also be featured in-game via the Galactic Battle Pass.
Coming to the loot pool, not much is known about it, but Lightsabers will be coming back for certain. There are rumors that they could also finally be added as Pickaxes, but it's too soon to say. We will also be getting weapons showcased in different Star Wars shows. Some of them have been in-game before, while others will be brand new.
In terms of gameplay mechanics, nothing has changed. We could see Force Powers return, but Epic Games has yet to confirm that. As it stands, aside from a few elements of gameplay, the overall mechanics that are present will be retained for this phase of the storyline.
We could see more characters added during Chapter 6 Season 3 (Star Wars) to the Fortnite Item Shop. There are rumors of Jango Fett and Cassian Andor being included in this phase of the storyline. It would make sense, as the characters are popular, especially Cassian Andor (moreover, since Andor Season 2 recently debuted).
Lastly, as mentioned by Epic Games, the season will end with a narrative live event. It could revolve around the destruction of the Death Star, which is currently visible in-game. This would be a throwback to the canon event(s) that occurred within the Star Wars franchise. The live event will very likely be the catalyst for Chapter 6 Season 4. That being said, Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 (Star Wars) is going to one of the most ambisous phases of the storyline; an entire season dedicated to all things Star Wars.
