Using a keyboard and mouse gives Fortnite Battle Royale players a huge advantage in classic modes with building mechanics. Zero Build modes, on the other hand, are usually dominated by controller players who get additional aiming help from the aim assist.

While PC players generally have a bigger advantage over console users, there is one aspect that controllers are better at than a keyboard and mouse. Controllers allow one to move diagonally at any angle they want, which is very useful.

By default, players can move their characters by moving the left analog stick at any desired angle. The right analog stick is used for looking around and aiming. Thanks to analog sticks, controller users can move in any direction they want.

According to HYPEX, the most popular Fortnite Battle Royale leaker, PC players will also be able to control their diagonal movement with the next update. At the moment, this is simply not possible.

By default, PC players can use the W key to move forward and the A key to move to the left. Using these two keys together, they will move their characters diagonally at an angle of 45 degrees.

Essentially, PC users are able to move their characters to eight different sides. Controller players, on the other hand, have 360 different options, which gives them an advantage when it comes to movement.

The new movement controls will be just a small part of the upcoming Fortnite update. The v22.20 update will bring the Fortnitemares 2022 event, which will be one of the biggest occasions of the year.

As per the leaks, a couple of new skins will be added to the game as well as a new boss. The new boss will spawn zombified animals and bring a new Mythic weapon.

Lastly, it appears that the Pumpkin Launcher will return to the video game as well. Considering that this is a fan-favorite weapon, many players will be excited to use it once again.
